      I'm from *******, ******* , went to visit ****** for vacation but on July 26th my Car broke down in ****** and call towing company to bring to Bannister Honda, They told me its covered by Honda and I have to pay for $2,400 only but when about to pick up my car the day before asking me for $14,000 instead and they said they cannot release until I pay $14,000. They didn't send me authorization, work order, consent or even for approval. until now as of August 28th no documents , work order they just telling me I cannot pick up until I paid. My accomodation and Bus are all non refundable because of last minute cancellation. I discuss this to Honda Canada but no resolution, Attached is my complain letter.       To Whom This May Concern,

      Im **** **** *******, The owner of 2017 Honda HRV. On July 26, 2024, my car broke down and my son ****** ******* called AMA towing company and brought it to Bannister Honda in ****** to get checked and diagnose the problem. The next day on July 27th ****** ***** told me that its the transmission. I ask right away how much it is going to cost me because Im not ready for this. She said shell see what she can do, I called almost every day to follow-up and ask how much it is going to cost me, but the answer is I dont know yet and she told me that shes going away for a week,but ****** ******* is here, and you can ask him for update. The following week I talked to ****** *******, and he said the parts are not here yet, but I ask about the cost of the transmission and how much am going to spend and He said Oh ****** not telling you that its a recall, They told me the word RECALL  for how many times and when ****** went back from vacation, I talked to her almost every day She told me how many times HONDA WILL COVER EVERYTHING, EVEN THE LABOR COST! Then I decided to ask if they could check my brakes and if there is a need to check and to be done.  The cost she told me is about $ ***** and added the other service that I ask to check, like sparkplug, checking brakes because Im driving back to *******. We ended up at $2,400. We finalize the cost of $2,400. She said everything is good to go and I can book my bus and accommodation that cost me $400.00 non-refundable. Monday of August 12th I even called same week to confirm everything, and I even told ****** that I will pay $2,400 over the phone and give my credit Card to settle everything before I leave ******* and I even ask on Tuesday, August 13th still the same thing $2,400 and I ask for the warranty and ****** said 1 year for a brand-new transmission. And on Wednesday August 14th.  The day before I picked up my car ****** called me the bad news is I must pay about $14,000 and they cannot release my car until I paid the $14, 000. As of today, August 28th Bannister Honda- ****** from Day 1, I did not receive any Invoice, Work order,Job Details, No Consent, No Authorization, No Approval from me.   I discuss my concern to Honda ******* 
      To the Service Manager of Bannister Honda- ****** Mr **** ******, I am very disappointed in how he handles this. He is very rude and insulting me, when I ask him why you didnt send me an invoice or work order and he said if I told you earlier are you going to to make it? Like do you have money to pay.  He even admitted that there was miscommunication and confusion at their end when they thought it was a recall and covered by Honda. And last minute the day before picking up my car they said I must pay $14, 000.  I ask for legal advice here in *******. They asked me if I signed up for consent or Authorization before they do the work, and I said no.
       I did not get a refund from my accommodation and Bus to ****** because its a last-minute cancellation.
      I wonder if its legal to pay $14, ************************* invoice. No documents at all.
      Im dealing this for a month now and its affected my health.
      I hope you can help me to find a resolution on this matter.

      We have reached out to the customer, it was a poor communication on our end her at Bannister **** and are working with the customer and **************** ******. Customer is going to come and pick up here vehicle and we will continue to work with her and Honda.

      I went for an **** appraisal on July 4th, 2023, for a Honda Civic with plates ****** and claim # ** *** ****. I initially gave Bannister in ****** a month to submit the appraisal before checking but I have called and emailed multiple times since then, trying to figure out the status of my appraisal to no avail. They said they have submitted my appraisal to **** but they have not. I would like them to submit my appraisal as it's been two months and I cannot replace the pictures taken at that time with deer hair still in the pictures, proving that the damage resulted from a collision with wildlife. I don't want to run into problems with my claim with **** due to their poor customer service. I added ******************** rather than their collision centre as when I went to book the appraisal, I called Bannister Honda and they told me to use their repair centre and gave me a different number. I will likely proceed with a different company for the repairs as I have lost all trust in this business, but I need them to submit my appraisal that I trusted them with. I have called and emailed several times and they just keep dodging and ignoring my attempts at contact. Emails go ignored and phone calls are promised to be returned to no avail.

      I reached out to the Manager(***************************) of Bannister Collision promptly this morning for review. He called the customer & left a voice mail, along with an email, to discuss her claim. We agree that this claim has taken too long, and we are sorry for this.

      He said that her claim is presently being reviewed by ****, and that is what is the present hold up. So, they do have her claim along with the photos.

      We understand her frustration, and apologize for this however, we have to wait for **** to give us the go ahead.

      If she would like to take it to another collision shop, we understand.

      As soon as we hear back from the customer, we will forward you the direction that the customer would like to go.

      I bought a truck from this company on sept 13, 2022. I was assured the windshield would be fixed on pickup, it was not. I was told to get the chips fixed through speedy glassin my city and dealship would pay. Upon inspection by the glass company they recommended replacing the windshield since there were seven chips not the orignal 4 we had thought. Bannister Honda agreed to pay $500, the bill was $571. After multiple emails I have still not received a cheque for the agreed $500
