      On January 2, 2024, we went to this shop and met with Jackson to select and order our clan tartan cloth to have three kilts built and two wraps made by him for a 30th wedding anniversary celebration in Scotland in October 2024. We chose a tartan from Marton Mills, paid a $1000.00 deposit and the cloth arrived in July. When we got to the shop Jackson rolled out the cloth and we noticed right away that it was not the tartan cloth that we had selected and ordered - it was totally different. When we stated that it wasn't what we ordered, Jackson replied that we were correct but there hadn't been time to get our cloth, so they defaulted to a different Mill-The House of Edgar. We had never been advised that there was an issue getting the tartan that we selected let alone that a different Mill was being used without our approval. We said that he must let his customers know when they aren't getting the tartan they chose and paid for, and Jackson said that he does not inform his customers of that and that "it has never been an issue". Well, it was a huge issue for us as this tartan was very different than what we had chosen and wanted. Marton Mills, House of Edgar and North of Hadrian's could not produce any Purchase Order or any documents showing that any order had been made for our cloth.
      There was a real lack of transparency with North of Hadrian's, making it impossible to continue with them due to lack of trust. We were able to get a refund, however they had placed us in a horrible position with less than 8 weeks to order cloth, find a kilt maker and get three kilts made for a very significant event for our family. It was very important for us to have our clan kilt at this ceremony, and we were not able to rent it anywhere. It was wrong of them to attempt to pass off a totally different tartan as the one we had chosen. Due to our extremely negative experience, we would not recommend using North of Hadrian's Kilts and Celtic Clothing to anyone under any circumstances.
