      Capital City showed up this morning apparently working for BC Hydro. The two-man crew sheared the side of a beautiful mature ornamental cedar tree located on the front of our property with no regard for the health of the tree nor the look that it presents to the street. They also stepped on and broke our landscape lighting and were very rude when we confronted them and complained about the clear-cut technique they were employing on our beautiful tree. BC Hydro has to do a better job of selecting more professional contractors and Steve, the owner of Capital City, has to take responsibility for hiring and training better and more professional employees. In the meantime, my advice is do not hire Capital City Tree Service.

      We contacted Capital Tree Service, as our large cryptomeria hedge had grown exponentially, and was out of control. Joel immediately organized an estimator to stop by, and we received a detailed and fair estimate within hours. Steve contacted us and noted that he would work us in their schedule as soon as possible. Just a few days later, Steve contacted us again, mentioning that his Crew would be on-site the next morning. The two man Crew arrived early with their truck and bucket, checked in and went to work. They did a fantastic job trimming and shaping the hedge, and left the area immaculate. Steve checked in the next working day to assure that we were happy with their work. We definitely would not hesitate to recommend Capital Tree Service, and will definitely contact Steve and Joel for our future tree service needs.
