I and my ex-wife ****, entered into a timeshare agreement with Mountainside Lodge in 1999, and during the buying process, we were informed that there would be an annual fee associated with the timeshare. However, it was not disclosed at that time that these fees would increase annually.Unfortunately, due to unforeseen health issues and a significant reduction in income following retirement, my ability to afford the escalating annual fees has become increasingly difficult. As a diabetic currently undergoing medical treatment for kidney issues, under the care of the ************* in *******, **, and having experienced a heart attack two years ago, my overall health condition has deteriorated, affecting my mobility and balance. Additionally, my wife faces mobility challenges and relies on a ******.Compounding the situation, when we initially purchased the timeshare, the building allowed pets. However, the policy was later changed to prohibit pets, and we now find ourselves in a difficult position as we have a dog. These unexpected changes have created an untenable situation for us, both financially and *************** light of our health conditions, financial constraints, and the impending need to move into a retirement village due to our inability to maintain a home, we kindly request your assistance in facilitating a mutual release from the obligations of our timeshare agreement with Mountainside Lodge. We have only used the timeshare a few times, and the escalating fees have become a significant burden. While we understand that the decision ultimately lies with Mountainside Lodge, we believe that your intervention could help mediate a fair and equitable resolution for both parties. We seek a complete release from our timeshare obligations to alleviate the financial strain on us during this challenging period.I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a favorable resolution.
