I took my Acer touch-screen laptop with numeric keypad to this business (now located on Princess Street) to improve the performance as continual updates were slowing it down. Scott ****** recommended replacing the hard drive, which I agreed to. He then called me to let me know that the laptop was not charging and had tried an adapter which did not work. I took my adapter in and was told afterwards that the battery died. He was unable to fix it. I commented that I would then have no computer and he said that was not his problem. Seeing my expression, he offered to give me a Lenovo as a replacement, inserting the new hard drive in there. It is a Think Pad with no numeric keypad, but better than nothing. I did not plug it in for a few weeks and when I did, a message came up saying that the adapter was not the right one for the Lenovo and the substitute would not charge. I emailed Scott and was unhappy about the situation, wondering whether he was taking advantage of a Senior and questioning whether he was trustworthy, because he then told me to bring in my Acer and he could see what he could to to replace it. **** * *** ** *** **** ****** ** *** ******* **** ***** *** **** ******* ** *** ********* **** ** *** * **** ** ******** **** ***** *** ** **** *** ** ****** ***** ***** ** *** * ********** *** ***************. I took the Lenovo to him this morning and he suggested giving my money back and keeping the Lenovo. I said then I would not have a computer and he said that would be my problem. Regarding the adapter not charging, he plugged it in and said sometimes that message came up and it didn't mean anything because the Lenovo was 98% charged. I said that was because I had not used it.
