I had an electrical issue and an AC problem on my jeep laredo. The electrical issue was resolved easily enough.
The AC compressor was a different matter. The replacement compressor ( junkyard part ) didn't even last 5 minutes. I literally did not even make it to the city limits. Turned off the AC and returned to the service center.
After the tech looked at the AC , the service rep ( Tiffany *****). told me that the replacement compressor had seized.
She told me that it was NOT covered by any warranty.
Then she told me that it would take up to 5 days to find another compressor !, and offered me a $*** refund!!! Unbelievable!!
After several minutes she went to " talk to the manager " . She then offered to refund the cost of the junk part, but I'm still on the hook for labor ( $ ****** ), and AC performance test( $ *****) WHY should I pay to have a useless piece of junk yard **** fitted to my jeep??
I had to hit the road and make a mile, and she knew that. I took the money and ran.
That does NOT mean I'm happy .It just meant that I could not sit in town for another 5 days waiting for another junk yard part with NO warranty.

Vehicle was brought in because AC was not working and customer wanted AC Working.
The $***** was the cost to complete an AC Inspection and Diagnose the issue as per customers request. That is non-refundable.

That test determined the AC Compressor needed to be replaced. Brand New is no longer available from ***** *********). Aftermarket NEW one was a 5 day wait and customer could not wait.

Only option was a used compressor from a scrap yard, to which customer agreed to because as they state, couldn't wait and needed it done asap.

Unfortunately yes the used part failed and there was no warranty on it.

We tried to assist client because they needed it done in hindsight we should have never agreed to put a Used Part in. However the only option was a 5 day wait!

The full cost of the part was refunded to the client at our expense for trying to help out. There is no refund for the inspection or the labor.

Resolution Offer is if client wants to purchase a NEW Compressor we will install free of charge.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I am in Middleton,  NS. I Can not / will not drive halfway across the country. However there is a jeep dealership in Middleton.

Perhaps they would honor this arrangement?

    Sincerely,

    Christopher *****

I brought my vehicle to Steinbach Dodge for repair and an oil change. Great service. After my vehicle was fixed, I did not drive it again until yesterday February 6th 2023 and noticed oil leaking. I contacted ***** and brought my vehicle to get looked at. Was then informed that it was an issue completely different then what they did even though it's the housing for the oil filter. I just want them held accountable. And fix my vehicle.

Have spoken to client and offered a resolution. The leak is a result of a faulty part that wears over time and is a known issue. Our resolution was to cover the cost of the part and client pays labor, $***+tax,
