I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Weather Tech regarding an issue that arose from an air conditioning system they installed for us in 2021. Last week, we began hearing a rattling noise coming from the furnace area of our home, we could hear noise in every room in the house. Initially, we believed the problem was with the furnace itself and contacted the company that installed it. However, upon their inspection, it was determined that the noise was originating from the area where the cooling system is located. The technician who arrived to assess the situation noted that the AC coil was improperly secured during installation, causing it to vibrate against the plenum. This oversight led to the issue we experienced, which was unexpected given the amount of money we paid for the installation three years ago. To resolve this matter, we were charged a service fee of $**** We reached out to Weather Tech to explain the situation and request ************ for the bill, as the problem stemmed from their original installation. Unfortunately, they refused to cover the charge, claiming they did not directly fix the issue. However, if the installation had been performed correctly from the start, this situation could have been entirely avoided. I am disappointed not only by the additional expense but also by Weather Tech's unwillingness to take responsibility for their work. * ******* **** ** * **** ** **** ******** ******* *** ********** ************ **********

This customer had an air conditioner installed in 2021. Within 3 weeks after the install the customer called in and let us know there were issues. We attended the customers home on 3 occasions (only 2 visits were associated with an issue, the other was to complete the installation as the temperature was not sufficient to get proper readings on the installation day) and rectified the issue (the customer signed off that is was fixed as seen on the invoice copies they provided). We have not heard from the customer since. The customer called a few weeks ago and said they had repairs done and wanted Weather Tech to pay for them, which is not a practice we subscribe to. The customer did not give us a chance to fix any issue they were having, they chose to have another company out to fix it. As per the customers complaint, another company installed their furnace. We are not aware of when their furnace was installed, however, the issue could have happened during the furnace installation. There are many reasons that the coil could have become sloped improperly, including the house shifting, other companies working on the unit, etc. We cannot accept that it was faulty installation, as there were no calls for issues over the past 3 years. If the coil was not sloped properly from our installation, there would be constant water leaking and we would have heard from them, and we would have definitely fixed the issue. Weather Tech cannot pay bills to other HVAC companies for failure to contact us to fix an issue.
