****Friday, January 10, 2025 I was scrolling through marketplace looking for a vehicle. I came upon one that interest me so I went ahead and said is it available. A lady named ******** called and texted me and asked me if I was looking for a vehicle which I said yes I am. She asked, what is your budget? I said between ** and ******. I end up sending her my driver’s license and my treat card and my insurance papers and she said she would get back to me once she looked around to see if she could find me a vehicle like an SUV.

Monday, January 13, 2025 ******** called and asked if I can get a cosigner. I said I could ask my sister ****** ****** and my sister said it was OK for ******** to call her. My sister didn’t qualify so I called ******** on Tuesday January 14 and Wednesday January 15 but they didn’t have anything for me yet.

Thursday, January 16, 2025 ******** called and we discussed what I was looking for and my budget again  which I told her between $****** and $******. I sent her a couple of pics of vehicles that I found on marketplace and she said she’ll keep looking for an SUV.

Sunday, January 19, 2025 ******** text me saying she might have found a perfect vehicle for me and was going to make sure it was ready for viewing and sent pictures of a 2021 **** ******, a 2020 **** ****** and 2021 **** ********.

Monday, January 20, 2025 ******** text me and asked to give her a call saying she had a 2020 **** ****** and a 2021 **** ******** in my budget. I text her back and asked if she had any pictures of the **** ********. I asked her about a few features I was looking for such as command start, low milage, warranty, etc. She called me and we set up an appointment for a test drive at **** ******* ***.

Wednesday January 22 at 11:54AM, ******** text me to let me know ***** had me booked for 2PM. I arrived at 2PM for my test drive and took the vehicle for a little ride. I came back and told ***** it was a nice, smooth ride and I was interested. I told ***** I will reach out to ******** about the vehicle.

Thursday at 6:37PM I text ******** to let her know I was busy with family, grieving my cousin who had just passed away, so I didn’t want to deal with the vehicle right now and she understood.

Friday, January 20 at 12:21PM ******** text me to let me know the **** ******** was booked for a couple of minor repairs which wouldn’t affect the asking price. She called me on my cell to give me the heads up that her boss will be reaching out to me by phone. He called and discussed a down payment towards the **** ********. He text me the email address to send an e-transfer and said my vehicle can be picked up at ******** ********* at 1PM. I text him that I can only e-transfer $**** as I was on hold with the bank at that time. I was asking the bank to increase my e-transfer amount to $******. I explained to him that I will send the remaining amount after I finished talking to the bank. He said that fine. I also asked him to let me know when he received the $**** just to make sure he received it. He text back and said he received the $**** and said to please send the $**** remaining and tomorrow you will pay ******** ********* directly the remaining $****** at 1PM upon pickup of your new vehicle at this time. The bank explained to me I could only withdraw or e-transfer $****** per day within 48 hours. I asked the boss if I could send the ****** and pay the rest tomorrow when I pick up my vehicle. He said yes and you could send the **** now. While my bank gave me problems trying to send the $******,  I was only able to send $**** more to him. At this time, I made 3 e-transfers to him; $****, $**** and $**** totaling $****. I told him I will pay the remaining amount when I pick up. He said OK. He went on to say that I will pay the remaining ** ***** to ******** ********* and they will have the vehicle ready for me and congratulated me for the purchase of the vehicle.

Saturday at 12:46PM I tried reaching out to ******** by text. No response. Saturday at 6:20PM I tried reaching out to ******** again via text, no response. Tried calling her but could only leave a voicemail because it was full. Finally ******** called me Saturday evening to tell me she was sorry but their system was down and they were trying to get it back up and running as soon as possible and would give me a call within a couple of hours. She called me back to say they couldn’t get the system working and for sure will be fixed by Monday.

Monday she calls to give me bad news that the vehicle that I put a down payment on was sold. She went on to say she didn’t know that there was another person interested in it and had a down payment on the vehicle already. She asked me if I was interested in the same **** ******** but it was white and there was four more features to this vehicle. I asked how the vehicle that got sold when I had a down payment on it and was congratulated by your boss. She said miscommunication went wrong somewhere. She asked if I was interested in the white **** ******** and I asked to see pictures. She said what she sent by text she went out to see this white **** ******** and it has four more features than the black ********, which is a little bit more above your budget. I asked how much more and she said they’re asking $**** more. I said I can’t afford that. She said how about if I can get it down to $**** more. I said no, just send me back my deposit and I will look elsewhere for another vehicle.

January 28 at 11:36AM I told ******** I didn’t want to proceed with the purchase of the vehicle. She text saying her boss is going to call me. I told her I just text him and told him I will go elsewhere because there’s too much running around and I should have had that black ******** in the first place after I put down $****. Then you guys offer me another vehicle where you wanted $**** more and I said no thank you. She replied back and said they had relayed that after two days that it took you to make your deposit that there was another interested buyer and there was a doubt that it would not be accepted so we provided the secondary option but it’s $**** more which is the same vehicle but in a higher package and atrim level. She said she understood my frustration and apologized and said they will return my deposit minus broker fees and that I could proceed with another dealer. I told her I’m not paying any broker fees, I want my whole $**** deposit back into my account. I didn’t sign nothing and I’m not paying nothing for my money just to sit in their account. The boss replied asking for my email to e-transfer and I gave it to him. This was the end of our conversation.
Shortly after I received an e-transfer for $***. I text him back and told him I only received $*** so far still waiting for my $****. No response. I tried calling him several times and it went straight to voicemail. I text him again several hours later asking where is my other $****, did you send? Finally at 4:22PM he text me saying this was a deposit on a vehicle and unfortunately you decided not to move forward with us as we provided great options for you and you decided against our options. I have sent you back $*** from the deposit. I replied back that I sent him $**** in total, where is my other $****? He replied back the other $**** was a deposit towards the vehicle. I said I didn’t get a vehicle and to call me please. He didn’t call me back. This is where I contacted ***** where the black **** ******** was sitting at his affirm. When I called ***** he said he was just the middleman and had nothing to do with ******** or her boss, they just called him about the black ******** he had on his lot for me to test drive. I text ********’s boss back and sent him my screenshots of all three e-transfers that I sent him on Friday, January 24. I also told him if I didn’t hear from him by the end of the day I was going to call City Police and report him.
