      I have been a customer for years now. A couple years ago I went from a personal advisor to this group call in advisory where you wait for someone to call you back and they don't have a direct line and it is a waiting game to receive return email communications. *** ********* ******** ********** ** **** ********* ******  A request was made August 1, 2024 for balance statements for a family member diagnosed with dementia, invoking a power of attorney. The POA was sent August 2, 2024 by email as requested. August 6, 2024 11:00 am telephone conference was scheduled (the agent, ****** *******) was late in that appointment. August 6, 2024 information regarding employment information was emailed to the agent. August 8, 2024 required papers were signed. To date no further communication and still not statements. The agent was advised of the urgency of the required statements as an application had been made for financial assistance for the person with dementia - now holding up the process. Not impressed and not acceptable. Not only does the individual with dementia have financial information with IG Wealth, but other family members as well and this point we are about to remove all our finances from this business.

      Absolutely impossible to withdraw money from my RIFF
      Absolutely run around for a week
      Still no response
      I have family emergency to deal with
      And I’m getting absolutely a runaround

      Wish I never traded here, they locked me out of my account and wouldn't let me withdraw the $***k I invested. It was really hard, I couldn't maintain my mortgage and had to sell my house.       I have been a 20 year customer of IG Wealth. Always had a great experience with them and their advisors. When I needed funds from my TFSA 3 days later they were in my account.
      BUT
      When our advisor moved to a new job our accounts were left with No advisor - the local office did little to help us manage our funds. No matter who we contacted it wasn’t their job. I Needed funds from my TFSA as 3 children were starting university/college. We had deposits due. 5 months later still nothing. Nobody helps - just gives you another number to call. Ive taken 4 days of my break at work trying to reach someone. Nobody calls back. The 2 people I spoke to took longer than my break was allowed and gave me another number because they still couldn’t do anything.
      Ridiculous way to treat customers!!!!!
      I'm in disbelief.

I received an email of condolence for the loss of my father and told I need to sign for funds from his estate. All in my own Name! I haven't lost my father. I don’t even know Mr. ********. Someone is expecting an estate settlement - but they keep offering it to me! I explained that they had the wrong person. They keep calling me to complete the signing!
      I reached out to the local office and was just emailed back a number I can call to rectify the situation!!!!
      Why do I need to take more break time at work to fix their error that has nothing to do with me?????

      **** ***** It is a nightmare to deal with Investors Group (IG). Very terrible experience! I need RESP redemption for my son. He is in college this year. We need this RESP to pay his tuition fee. It has been more than 3 months since we contacted IG , we still can not withdraw this RESP. No response from IG advisors.
