I paid for a first aid C.P.R. course and selected available dates offered Tuesday and Wednesday. I went Tuesday and later that night they called me to let me know my course Wednesday is cancelled because not enough people signed up and I had to go Sunday morning, I said I couldn’t go during weekend and asked for Monday and they said it wasn’t available.
I had a family emergency as I was babysitting my nephew over night Saturday and his mom did not return in time for me to make it to my course on Sunday that I didn’t even sign up for a Sunday. I called Monday to explain why I couldn’t make it Sunday and they said there is nothing they can do. I’ve since called back 3 times and left messages and emailed 4 times to try to reschedule and no response for a week now. I didn’t pay for a course on the weekend when I wasn’t available I paid for a course during the week. I understand if it needed to be rescheduled however I should have been able to choose a new date during the week when it’s convenient with my life schedule and not forced to reschedule during the weekend last minute. I would like a refund or a reschedule during a week day

    Hi there,

    ****** **** *** ******** *********** *** **** ********** The student successfully completed the course on April 10, 2025.

As outlined in our terms and conditions, we are unable to run a first aid course unless there are enough participants to complete all required emergency scenarios.

    Best regards,

*************************** ** ** ********** ******My son registered for a First Aid and CPR course with St. Mark James Training for December 7 and 8. The reason I am writing this complaint is that we paid for the course. He attended the course on December 7. On December 8, he and one other person stood outside the training location on a cold Manitoba morning. They found out that the second day had been cancelled when they phoned the business. They advertise on their website under the heading, “Why study with us?” That they “never cancel courses”. My son, **** *** drove about 1200 kilometres and lost two days of wages to get this course that he needed for another job that he was applying for. Costs incurred: **** *** * *** * ******** **** ***** *** * **** * ******** He was able to stay with a relative so there were no accommodation costs. This is a lot of money for something he did not get *** *** * ** **** ****  I wrote the company and told them what I have told you. I got no response until I contacted their manager, whom I believe is in Vancouver, and I outlined the same costs to him. He responded that they would give him a certificate (he only completed half of what he needed) and a full refund. He now has the card, but to date, I have not seen the refund. I responded by saying that is not acceptable. ** ******** **** ********* ************* *** ** ** ***

We had an issue running our December 8, 2022 class which we apologize for and we tried our best to amend the situation.

Brenda ********* son was initially registered for a two day Standard First Aid course to which we only run the first class on December 7 and we had some issues with the day two class on December 8th.

As we were only able to run the class of December 7, we provided her son with a one day course certificate which is an Emergency First Aid certificate and we provided a full refund to Georg ********** paypal account which was used at the time of the payment. ****** *** ******** ***** ** *******

I would recommend checking Georg ********** paypal account or/and call paypal to check for the refund.

The funds left our account back on December 20th, 2022.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not completely satisfactory to me.   I accept that the company has refunded the money and has apologized very generally to an “issue providing the course on the second day”.  * ** *** **** **** **** ********** *** ********* ****** **** ********** ***** **** *** *** *** **** ** * **** *** *** ** * ***** *******  However, I am satisfied with the BBB attempt to resolve this issue and do not expect any further work on this complaint.

    Sincerely,
