    Thursday Aug. 22: Selected a mattress & box spring on sale, but still wanted to compare prices elsewhere. We were told they needed a $** deposit to guarantee the sale price if we came back another day - which we paid in cash. I have the receipt. Were told if we changed our minds, the deposit would be refunded as long as we came back within 10 days. Tuesday Aug. 27 - returned to the store with our receipt to get our deposit refunded (since we made a purchase elsewhere). We were then told: We don't have any cash in the store, how about you buy a $** sheet set instead, we'll try and give you a refund on your debit card (which the computer wouldn't let him do), you should have phoned first to make sure we had cash, we never have cash in the mornings (it was 12:15 pm) he would call manager to see how to do debit refund (which he didn't do), if we gave him $** cash, he would give us a $*** bill he had in his wallet. I suggested they phone someone and get them to bring in some cash, or 1 of the 2 employees there could go to an ATM to get some cash - to which he said the company wouldn't allow them to do this. We had pointed out several times that we live 30 miles outside the city, and this was a huge inconvenience. So now, when we plan to come into Winnipeg (which is usually only once a week), we have to phone them to see if they have cash and drive out of our way to the store? The best he could do was extend our refund date to Sept. 7th. All we want is our $** cash deposit back.

    I went there twice to try to get my money back. Their debit machine kept saying out of time out of time and he said he would call me when he had the money and I haven’t received a call.
    I want to get my refund back from surplus direct on Erin. I did put $*** cash. They’re willing to give me the money back but they’re having delays with their debit machine if you need any more information

    My name is Neil ******* and my brother Donald ******* went to Surplus Furniture & Mattress ** *** ***** *** ******** *** *** **** We bought a Jesolo Brown Motion Loveseat with Console the Price was $******** I broke out with a rash and went to my skin specialist. I quit sitting on the love seat for the past 6 months and the rash has cleared up the love seat is filled with feathers and I have allergies to feathers, wool, the only thing I can use is cotton and sponge. My brother and I have gone back several times the head office in Calgary Alberta they wanted pictures close up and further away. I have a bundle full of feathers I showed them and they said we would here back from them by March 28th/22 but never heard from them. I kept calling them back then i was told the manager was not in I continued calling them back but got no where.  Then the last time I called I spoke with the manager his name is Harsh his phone number is ************ when I called him he said they had not heard back from the office in Calgary AB, and we have not been sitting on the Love seat since we found out that we both have the same allergies to wool and feathers we are disappointed with the service we have been getting. ** we would like a full refund
