I had my gutters cleaned and the individual who cleaned them said a few of the corners needed to be re-sealed, the gutter on the garage re-aligned, and a hole into a downspout cut bigger. He recommended EavesCleaned Plus. I set up an appt with Joe from the company. He came out September 28th and sealed 3 corners and re-aligned the one gutter across the front of the garage. He couldn't cut the above-mentioned hole bigger, as there was hornets buzzing around that space. He said he would return at a later date to do that work. I etransferred him $***, which he accepted, and a request for an emailed receipt, which I have still not received. He stated the work was guaranteed for one year. On Oct. 3 I emailed him to inform him that the previously leaking areas were now leaking worse than before, and a new area was now leaking. No response. Oct 11 and 16 - re-sent email and asked for confirmation of receipt. No response. Oct 19 - texted Joe. Oct 20 - Joe texted stating they would be there on the 24th to do the work. No one showed up, called, or texted. Oct. 28 - texted Joe - no response. Nov. 4 - sent email - no response Nov. 7th - phoned Joe, left VM. He immediately texted saying they would be out Nov. 9 to fix problem. No one showed, called, or texted. Nov. 11- filled out form on website for request for service. No response Nov. 12 - left voicemail Nov. 13 - messaged saying if work cannot be rectified, I would like to be refunded so I can have another company fix all the leaking areas. Nov. 14 - texted; no response Nov. 15 - texted; no response Nov.16 - texted; no response Nov. 19 - left voicemail again No response. It should be noted that I always called before texting. The times I didn't note leaving a voicemail were times the mailbox was full and unable to accept messages, so I had very few opportunities to even leave a voicemail. Please accept this as a summary of a complaint against Joe ******** Eaves Cleaned Plus, for the withholding of our deposit for cleaning and service work that was never performed. On July 16th. I made a request for quote to Eaves Cleaned plus to clean and install gutter guards for our house. On July 18th, Joe responded with a request to meet, which I responded that first thing next week, or anytime that is convenient for him would be fine. With no reply by July 28th, I asked again for an update. On Aug 2nd I received a quote for the work requested, which I agreed to, and replied within the hour. On Monday Aug 5, Joe requested a $******** deposit by e-transfer, and scheduled work to begin Thursday Aug 8th or Friday. The E-transfer deposit was completed Aug 6th to *************************** Throughout August till late September, there was missed and postponed appointments, and little response to completing the job when he took on a contract in New Brunswick! This frustration of contract, led me to believe they were unable or unwilling to perform the work as promised. All of this resulted in me ending the work request, and asking for a return of our deposit. Joe had ensured us that we were entitled to a full return of our deposit, promised to return our money, but never did. As of today November 18th 2024, there has been no return of our deposit. I believe I have been patient and fair in this matter, and request your help in obtaining a resolve to receiving a return of our deposit. I am willing to provide any other information required to support this claim at your request. I thank you in advance, and appreciate any and all help you can provide.
Below is a copy of our text correspondence relative to the above summary. There were also direct calls made to help get clarification and resolve this. Most went to voicemail or were refused because of a full mailbox.

Hello Joe, something has gone terribly wrong with the project to service the gutters on our house. Someone in your company has one thousand dollars of our deposit, and we haven't had anything done in return. You received the deposit by Aug the 8th and committed to start on the ninth. We were then pushed to the 12th. Again, no crew showed up. I then left both voice mail and text follow-ups to make additional arrangements. Up to today Aug 22, there has been absolutely no returned contact regarding anything!
I dont know if Eaves Cleaned Plus is currently unable or unwilling to do this work. But, If that is the case, please return our deposit, and I will seek help with someone else. Otherwise please contact me as soon as possible to coordinate completing this job. Thankyou Joe, Randy

I am truly sorry about this, I meant to get this cleared off before I left for work as I have a contract in new Brunswick I am working on. I need to bring you a cheque or cash to refund deposit. With no replies to phone messages, emails or direct texts, Its obvious you won't communicate with me directly, leaving me only the option to seek help from my bank, media, or legal assistance.
I absolutely can't understand why you're doing this to us, other than now believing we've been involved in some type of fraud or a scam. Why did we end up here?

Still no response? As you did not return our money again as promised, I am currently in communication with my bank and better business bureau, who advise moving to legal pursuit through small claims, which might be best overall. I have patiently run out of options. It is in your hands to make this right.
