Back in May I had Abundant Air install a central air conditioner. Initially it did not work at all and technicians were sent to fix it. They fixed it and stated it was installed incorrectly. Over the summer we had water from an unknown source leaking in the basement under floorboards and into drywall. Eventually we discovered it was from the air conditioner. Another technician was sent out to fix it and stated it was installed wrong, causing the water to pool in the wrong spot instead of going in the tube as it should. I have been in contact with the company but they are no longer responding. I have paid out of pocket for the repairs to the walls but have not replaced the flooring yet as I do not have the additional funds. But in total it is easily $**** damage to the house due to their incompetence and I would like some form of resolution.

    Business Response

I spoke to ******* our service manager and he checked his emails. He documented that he did follow up on Monday Aug 26, and left a message and never heard back. But we didn’t hear back until almost a month later Sept. 17c and ******* said he tried calling again after that. None the less there hasn’t been any unresponded communication. But ******* should have emailed a response stating he tried calling.

But as mentioned before I’m happy to visit the customer about this.

We’ve never had an insurance claim, or incident such as this before. But I will state in circumstances where customers feel that damages are created by doing a company did. That is when home insurance companies step in. That’s why companies such as ours carry insurance. And the insurance companies determine the outcomes etc.

Happy to go visit the customer my though. And see if we can come to an amicable solution.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: ****** called and left a message on August 20th, after which we agreed by email he would call on the 26th. However I did not receive a call or message from him. I can provide my phone records if that would be helpful. If he did call someone, it was the incorrect number. Again I tried contacting him again through email (I work shift work and often have difficult hours to call in), and had no response. The next call I missed from them was on November 22nd, after I placed this complaint, and no message was left so I was unsure who called and was waiting for the response on here. I would still be happy to discuss this with them. I am not optimistic about the outcome after their response, but this was always a discussion I was wanting to have directly. I work double shifts both Monday & Wednesday of this week so it would not be ideal to try those days. But Tuesday after 4pm, or mostly Thursday and Friday I am available. To confirm, the phone number is ************, and my email is *******************. If you call at a time I can't answer my phone, please leave a message so I know who to return the call to. Or email me with who to contact and when you are available.

    Sincerely,

Customers don’t have to go to these lengths to speak to me. We aren’t hard to get ahold of if someone really wants to reach us. It’s possible ******* forgot to respond to one email, but it’s not like we were ignoring calls or just ghosting anyone.

I’ll call the customer, and we can go from there.
