I took my engagement and wedding ring to A&A to get resized on July 26, 2024. They resized my rings 2 and 2.5 sizes. They did not provide the cut out gold from the rings. Upon asking for this back, the lady was incredibly rude and told me that it is common standard practise in the industry to keep the material. I phoned 3 major jewellers in Winnipeg and they all advised that was false. They refuse to give us the gold back from what they cut out that we paid for. We are completely upset by this and their way of communicating this. ** **** **** **** **** ** ** *** ** *** *********** ****** ** *****

The material taken out of rings when sized down is
incorporated into the cost of the sizing, unless client requests to return the
material removed from a sizing down, resulting in an additional cost. Would the
client have requested the material back we would have done so, as stated for a
cost. This was clearly explained to upon inquiry after the rings were sized. The
client was never refused the return of their material once asked, they were
informed there would be a cost and could speak to the business owner, but they
refused to at that time and left the store. Client can come into the store for
the return of their gold however we will need their sized rings to try to match
up the gold to the rings.
