I took my watch in and the owner told me I needed a new battery. He checked the old battery and said that it was dead.

Upon putting in the new battery he did not check if the watch was working, and I assumed that he checked it. He told me that there would be a six-month warranty on the battery as stated on the bill. I was in a rush so I paid him $***** and left the store.

When I finally got home hours later and opened the box to see the watch, I noticed that the watch was still the same and not working. Nothing changed.

I went back to let him know and he said that he cannot give me my money back, although he can put this battery into another watch. He said that the battery was corroded and that is why this battery does not work. I said to him, well if you **** ****** ****** *** would have told me that it was corroded from the beginning I obviously would have not purchased and bought a battery from you. * **** ******* ** ** **** *** *** ********* **** **.

    I now want my $***** back and prefer to not do business with this store ** * ****** ***** *** ***** ********
    I noticed looking at the bill later that it states, due to Covid 19 sales are final and no returns are allowed. ** **** ******  I have done business with the old owner and was very satisfied with his customer service *** *** **** ********* *** **** ** **** ** *** *** ******* ** *** *** ***** *** **** ** *** ******* ***** ** **** **********

    Dear BBB,

Before the customer made payment, I have changed the battery and I did checked carefully the watch over ten minutes to be sure the watch is working. I have told the customer the old battery corroded inside and I did basic clean, so the watch is working. And asked whether the customer want to change the battery or NOT.

When the customer came back, I also re-checked the watch and measured the battery in front of customer to show her the good quality of the new battery. And that time, the watch worked sometime and stopped sometime, because the impacted by the previous battery corroded inside, not the new battery.

I also offered that I ready to switch the battery to any other watch for customer and this is also a policy that most of my customer to satisfy to follow.

However, if the customer do not satisfy the switching battery policy, and want to refund, my shop is ready to refund any time.

Thank you so much for the information from the customer and BBB!

    Sincerely,

    Dynasty Jewellers

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Yes I do want my refund back I will go by there and get cash thank you.

If I would have known that the watch was corroded from the beginning which I didn't know till I went to another jeweler as I was wondering why the new battery wasn't working.

I would have never requested to put a battery in there and spend money for no reason.

    Thx.

    Sincerely,

    Joanne ******
