      To whom it may concern,

      A salesperson from CWB national leasing reached me about equipment leasing. I was told that the monthly payment was only ***. However after I signed the paperwork, they sent me an additional separate email for insurance charges, which I was never aware of. After I told them I would like to cancel this policy, they’ve been attempting to charger me **** dollars. The equipment was only **** dollars. Please help investigate this matter when possible.

      The client entered into an
      equipment lease agreement with us in December 2022. The lease agreement includes
      the requirement to either provide evidence of commercial insurance on the
      equipment or pay a monthly loss damage waiver fee. After signing the lease agreement, the client provided
      casualty insurance but not the required insurance on the equipment being financed.

      The client said they weren’t
      aware of the insurance requirement stated in the signed contract, and they said
      they didn’t want to pay the Loss Damage Waiver fee or secure additional
      insurance. The client instead asked for a buyout on the lease. The buyout price
      on a lease is the total of the remaining payments plus tax. The client is
      only two months into a 60-month lease, resulting in a higher buyout due to it
      being so early in the lease.

      While we’re not contractually obligated to do so, we
      decided to offer the client a substantially lower buyout price. ***** ** *** ******** ** ******* ******** ******* ** we felt that a compromise was a gesture
      of good will toward the client.

      We are still in contact with the client
      regarding whether they’ll accept the discounted buyout, or if they’ll continue
      with the lease by securing additional insurance or paying the Loss Damage
      Waiver Fee.
