    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    *** **********  ** **** *****  ********* ******* *** **** ***** ** *****

Firstly,   the tower has stood trouble-free since 1972.  In all those years,  no leak has occurred.

About 20 years ago,  I had the roof re-shingled and never had any problems.  The mounting

is secured by 6,  6inch lag screws,   the tower hinges on this mount and cannot disturb

    the mount.   ** *** *** ***** ****** ******* *** **** ** *** **********  **** *********

    ** ********
The mount is supported by a bearing wall in my single story home and that

is supported by tele-posts in the basement.....normal construction.  As for attic insulation,

it is 3 feet deep,  so condensation cannot happen.  When Mr. ********* went up on the

roof,  he placed more tar where it was needed because his men did not attend to the

job properly,   Since then the surfaces have been dry all this summer.  I was told by someone that in

that particular location,  tar is not the right sealant.   I need the kitchen ceiling and wall and

living room ceiling restored.   I was told by someone that in that situation  tar is

not the best sealant.  Even after Mr. ********* added tar,  he still insisted that

    his men did a perfect job !!   ** *** **** ** ** **** ** **** ** ***  *** ** ***********

So in regards to the complaint from Hillel ****** regarding his roof.  I have spoken to this customer numerous times regarding his concerns. The last time I spoke to the homeowner I indeed hung up after speaking with him as he continued to yell and speak to me disrespectfully.  I explained to the homeowner before starting the roof that the Homemade Antenna is a hazard on his roof and recommended having someone remove it.  The homeowner said no he would keep it and that in fact the antenna goes right through the roof and into the basement.  I suggested that the homeowner should have the antenna inspected annually.

The roof was completed and everything was done properly.  The area where the antenna enters the roof was tarred properly and the job was complete.

I was at the home last week to meet with the homeowner and inspected the roof and was inside the kitchen area.

There are multiple factors that could have caused the damage and I did explain all of this to the homeowner.

-When examining the roof last week and checking the area around the antenna you can see that the antenna has likely swayed and also has loose guide wires that are supposed to support the antenna.  There was a crack line in the tar where the antenna meets the roof.   I re-tarred the area last week but this could continue to be an issue with the antenna and should be inspected in fall and in spring.

-The homeowner also said that he is away for the winter months and has someone checking on his home but no one ever removes the snow around that area.

-I also asked the homeowner when is the last time someone has checked inside his attic and what the insulation is like and that there could be heat loss which would cause condensation/frost and then you would have water damage.

    Thank-you,

    Jeff

    Good morning,

I have since contacted my insurance company and they should be in contact with the homeowner sometime next week.

    Thanks
