    On May 27 of 2022 I hired Power roofing to replace a rotten area of leaking roof and to re-shingle. I paid a 40% deposit of the quote. That was an option, to lock in the price of materials and labor. The timeframe, Kristy gave me, was the second week in July(2022). July came and went without any contact.. On the 12th of Aug, I finally inquired via e-mail, to find out what the hold up was. On the Aug 18, I got a reply. Kristy apologized for the delay due to a late start to the season and said the 2nd week in Sept(2022) they could get started. Sept came and went w/o a word. I inquired again and got a response saying Dave was finishing up a couple houses. "Be in touch soon".
    I sent another e-mail Oct 7 2022. Expressing my concern that my leaking, rotten roof was not going to hold up through the winter and they needed to get this job done or at least tarp it. No reply.
    I phoned Kristy a week later expressing the same concerns, and asked if the contract would be void if I hired another company to tarp my roof. She said she would send somebody to tarp the roof. November came and it snowed. it wasn't until after that, someone finally came to my house to tarp.
    After this I figured they would stay true to their word and begin work on my house as soon as spring came around. On Apr 11 '23, I sent another E-mail to Kristy and Dave inquiring what type of timeline to expect. No reply, so again I phoned. Kristy gave me the "Late start to the season" excuse. May 17 '23 Kristy sent me an e-mail asking me to choose a shingle color. May 18 2023 Kristy confirmed my choice of color. Did not hear from Dave or Kristy all through June. June 29 '23, I sent another e-mail of inquiry letting them know the roof tarp was starting to let go after 9 months. July 6 '23, Kristy left a phone message assuring me my roof would be done within 3 weeks and she would contact me closer to the date. once again nothing. I sent another e-mail July 31 '23 and I have not heard back. Its been 15 months.

    After I filed the complaint, Power Roofing was quick to respond and promised they would get started within 2 weeks. They did, and the work is now complete.

    Hi there, I’m at a loss as to what to do.
    We got a few quotes for a new roof in 2021 and decided to go with Power Roofing even though they were not the lowest quote because they seemed professional and had good reviews. We paid them a deposit in August 2021 (last year) with the agreement that the roof had to be completed before September 2021 because we were putting the house up for sale in September. We were promised it would get done by August or early September at the latest. But they didn’t come and didn’t come and we were patient and didn’t put the house on the market because we really felt it needed to be reroofed before we put it up for sale.
    I called Power Roofing in May 2022 to find out when our roof was getting done – fully expecting that we’d be one of the first houses on their list since we were promised the prior year. I was given several reasons why their season was off to a late start even though I began seeing many other roofing companies begin. May came and went. We were promised June, it never happened, then we were promised July – it came and went. We called a few more times and kept getting told dates that would come and go without a phone call from them. Getting frustrated we left messages for the owner Dave to call us back. We've never received a call back yet. Power Roofing is not answering their phone, nor are they returning our calls or emails. We are kind and patient people but we are flabbergasted. How can they take our deposit and yet put other jobs in front of ours to this extent? We have now waited an entire extra year to put our house on the market and Power Roofing has had our deposit for well over a year. * ***** *** **** **** ** ** **** *** ****** * *** we really just want the roof done asap.

    We hired Power Roofing in March to reshingle the roof and install new eavestroughs. We gave them a sizable deposit. We were assured that the work would be completed by the end of summer at the latest. While we understand that the rain has caused delays, the lack of communication has been a real issue. Many calls and emails were sent that were often not responded to. In July we finally heard from them to be told that the work would be done at the end of August. At the end of August they did not show and more calls and emails were sent before they finally advised that it would be the end of September. When the date in September expired with no communication from Power Roofing, more calls and emails were sent with no response until the *** contacted them on our behalf. Power Roofing then communicated that the shingles would be delivered by Sept. 20 and the install crew would follow about a week after. On September 19th the shingles and other materials were delivered and placed on our roof. No contact from Power Roofing followed the missed date after the shingles were delivered and On Oct. 7 an email and voice message was left with no response. A second phone message was left Oct 11th with no response. Oct. 12 a voice message was received that the crew will be installing on Oct 18th. It is notable that on Oct 11th I contacted the BBB again to learn how to issue a formal complaint. as of today Oct 18th no one has shown up, no call from them to say they would be delayed and calls to the business go straight to voicemail. We have a real concern that the work will never ever be completed. A resolution to this complaint would be to have all of the work in the contract completed by Oct 28th at the latest to industry quality standards or the return of our deposit, removal of shingles on our roof and termination of the contract
