      ***** *** **** *** ***** ***** **** **** **** **** **** ** **** ********** ** *** **** ** *** ****** ** * ******, I opened a TFSA account with Olympia in 2018, and they charged me $*** annually for that. In October of 2023 I began the process of transferring the asset in that account to another trust company. At every turn, Olympia tried to thwart that process, rejecting the transfer for reasons that were totally invalid. However, I did not give up and, after many email and phone calls both by myself and the receiving financial institution, finally on November 2nd they took payment (of $***) from my credit card which was their transfer out charge. Even though they had had my instruction to close the account for over two months (and the asset had transferred, there was nothing left in the account) they still charged me the annual fee of $*** in January, over two months after the account was closed. On calling the company to complain and demand a refund, I was told that my account would be "sent for review" The customer service agent refused to give me a time on which they guaranteed a response, and also would not transfer me to their complaints department or to a supervisor. Totally unacceptable

And I have asked them that I would like to take it out and they have done similar to this… they have done nothing. But wants a fee from me every month with a monthly interest of 2%! This is ridiculous.

      My Husband and I both invested $30k each in 2009 with a company called Fast Track as they were holding an investment seminar talking about how awesome their investments were. **** *** *** ******* **** *** ***** *** **** ***** *** ***** ******* *** * ***** The money is essentially gone and the business Olympia Trust who is supposedly holding the actual “investment” in a self directed account (at Fast Tracks advice) wants yearly fees on what appears to be nothing. I’ve asked them to close the account but they refuse to do that stating I can only move what’s left or get reimbursed from Fast Track which appears to not even be in business anymore. I’ve conversed on several occasions both by phone and email with Olympia trust and have gotten absolutely nothing resolved with them. They simply want their fees paid on something I cannot fix myself.
