I purchased a vehicle from this dealership for my mother. Within weeks of the purchase the vehicle broke down on the highway. After speaking with the owner he asked me to tow the vehicle to his shop from 250kms away at my expense. I asked him for the warrantee number as it was advertised, as are all his vehicles, with 1 year free warrantee. He said it did not have warrantee, and never once mentioned to me during the sale process that it was not under warrantee unlike the advertisement. After getting it towed and dropped off at his shop, we shared a lot of exchanges via email and in person. He promised that it was going right into the shop, he has failed this promise. The vehicle broke down on November 1st 2024 and he has yet to look at the vehicle. I requested in writing for a refund. In person when I asked to get a credit of equal value he declined that. It’s been a month since my mother has been without the vehicle and he will not cooperate or follow through with his promises

I am rejecting this response because:

My response to this is that on several times he promised to fix the vehicle, however the vehicle has not move since the tow truck driver dropped the vehicle off from Virden. On December 19th we had an email exchange where he promised again to have the vehicle in the next day. I stopped by his shop on Friday December 20/24 around 9:23pm and saw that once again, the vehicle had not moved. I did see his mechanic and explained to him that the vehicle was supposed to be in the shop that day and that it was not. The mechanic explained that ** **** *** ***** ******* *** that Dragan was not at the shop. I then took a picture of the vehicle and sent it to Dragan and called him as well, and he did not answer. I went to his shop at 1:03pm on Saturday December 21/24. At that point he had the vehicle on his premises for a month and it still was not moved on December 21/24 at 1:03pm. I entered his shop and requested the keys. It’s clear that he’s continuously just told me he would do the repairs, however he never showed intention of doing so. To clarify, his ********** accusation ********** **** * *** *********** ** ****** * ** *** ***** *** ****** I did not threaten anyone. ** ********* *** ******** **** ** **** *** ***** ******** ** *** ****** *** ****** ***** ********* * ****** **** ****.  **** ****** ** ********** **** ***** ******* ****** ** ****** ***** *** * ***** ***** * ***** ******* *** **** ** ***** *********** **** **** ** ******** **** ***** ********* * **** ******* **** ** ** ***** ******** I am seeking a refund, and it’s clear that Dragan has no intentions to resolve this matter.

    Sincerely,

I bought a truck from him on Feb 14 2023. It had a horrible hemi tick sound. That I pointed out to Dragon, the owner of D&D.
He said no worries it will last forever etc. By mid June a cylinder in the engine collapsed rendering my truck useless. I had it to 2 other mechanics and they both recommended switching engines cause this one is garbage. I then brought the truck to D&D in early July. He still has my truck and it's almost October. I asked him last week to buy back my truck, he said that's not an option as I drive 10,000 kms with this truck. And it's a good truck. I do not want this truck back. He apparently is trying to fix it and gas fixed one of the cylinders that collapsed. Then another cylinder collapsed. He never answers my calls, he is wasting my time and my money. I believe my truck had 235,000 km on it at the time of purchase, price tag $******* So you take my 10,000 km that I put on. Divided by the price per k,m that the truck is valued at from the numbers above. He can buy the truck back from me, minus my km expense

When customer came down to see us and test drove the vehicle it was in perfect running condition and in great shape overall he was happy about everything with the vehicle and decided to purchase the vehicle, He has driven the vehicle for over 10000kms with no issues as well, After driving it for over 10000kms vehicle developed a misfire on one of the cylinders. When he contacted us we advised him that we will repair the vehicle at no cost to the customer(I don't think there are many dealerships that would do such thing after so many kms vehicle was driven at no cost to customer),we have repaired the the original problem when vehicle came in unfortunately there has been additional issue that developed on the vehicle that we are addressing as well. We understand that this has been time consuming and stressful for customer but its also been stressful for us as well, We have explained to customer on several occasions that we have been short handed with mechanics and that we are doing our best to have it repaired at no cost to the customer, We would like to note that this is no fault of our own in any form all we have done is sell a used vehicle that it was in great running condition and there's no way any one can predict when used vehicles can require repairs. We have the vehicle at ***** dealership for further diagnostics with the ***** professionals and we will have this issue resolved as soon as humanly possible

I am rejecting this response because:

I expressed my concerns about the hemi tick when I was test driving the truck.   Literally, his words I have seen those last forever.  A hemi tick is when a lifter in one of the cylinders is stuck, one of the eight cylinders in my truck collapsed, actually I believe 2 collapsed.  This was an existing problem before I bought this truck, it is still a problem and it's going to continue to be a problem until the engine is switched out.  Not to mention the electrical issues.  I saw that the truck in question was still in his yard in Gunn Road on Monday evening.   Not saying it's still there.   But you said it's a the ***** dealership now.   I would like my money back for this truck that gas been in the shop for longer then I was able to drive it

    Sincerely,

Vehicle was in perfect running condition at the time of purchase there were no misfires it run great, it was driven for 10000kms after the purchase which proves that it was in good running condition and that there were no misfires as well, it would have been impossible to be driving it for 10000kms if vehicle has had misfires or performance issues, it has been scheduled at ***** dealership for further diagnostic for oct 17th

The truck had a horrible hemi tick.   Which in fact was present when I purchased this truck.  Your words.   I have seen these hemi ticks last forever.   This truck needs a new engine.  I'm really not satisfied with sending it to ***** for diagnostic !   Diagnostic of what ?  That it needs a new engine.   Cause that one is garbage.  With collapsed cylinders which was present at the time of purchase

I am rejecting this response because:

Hello.   The last I heard of Dragon from D&D Auto said the truck was heading to the ***** dealership for further diagnosis.    I have not heard anything about the matter after that.   I'm my opinion the truck is going to need a new engine and I would assume D&D auto will be covering this cost.     This was an existing problem when I bought the truck and there is no way I should have to pay for it

    Thank you

    Business Response

Good morning here is our final response to this matter: we are clearly getting no where here and our efforts to resolve the issue with this vehicle are clearly not being appreciated. I will mention one more time that there were no issues with this vehicle at the time of purchase and the fact that it has been driven for over 10000kms clearly proves that as it would have been impossible to drive it for so many kilometers otherwise. However we have resolved and repaired at no cost to customer the original issue that truck was brought to us for, we were also going to repair the issue that come up afterwords and we offered to have it looked at at ***** dealership for more complete diagnostic to which consumer declined which makes zero sense to us at all, therefore as mentioned earlier our efforts to resolve this are clearly not being appreciated and we will decline to do any further repairs at our facility and customer is welcome to bring his vehicle to a shop of his own choosing for the additional repairs, there is still valid ******* warranty on this truck which we have also provided to the customer and the shop he chooses to continue repairs can contact ******* warranty for assistance on the further repairs, have a great day
