I purchased 9 windows and 2 doors from this company and they installed them in the fall of 2020. One of the windows cracked and they immediately came and repaired them. Then in the winter of 2020-2021 the weather stripping started coming off the doors. The following winter 2021-2022 more weather stripping was coming off the doors. The fall of 2022 the kitchen window lever broke preventing the window from being locked. I called and texted numerous times to the business over a couple months September and October 2022.No response. I then left an angry message when the installer texted me and said he has to order part. I waited until end November and texted him and he stated he will come. Again no response I texted again I’m December he’s ordering part and again no response. * **** * ****** ** ****** *** **** ****** **** * *** *** * ********* They state that they are lifetime warranty. **** ** *** *****

This is a grievance I want to file with Canadian windows and doors. I had purchased windows for my basement, and upper floor rooms and a side door the side door in particular had started to freeze up the storm door, to a point there was a sheet of ice thick across the storm door. When I called this company I was told by the manager Faruk ****** that he knew what the problem was and would order in the appropriate parts and contact me to do the install when the weather warms up in spring. Spring arrived and no calls, I left numerous messages with his cell, and the office as well, Finally I got a hold of Faruk in May and he said the parts arrived some time ago and he wanted to plan a day to do install and would contact me. again another few weeks and I Then called again in July and this time no answers to my phone calls, nor from the office at Canadian doors and windows nor from Faruk. To this day he has been avoiding my calls. ******** ** ***** ** *********

    Dear Joe,

2" aluminum storm door was installed Oct 2021 by Canadian builder standards.

Why is there frost on storm door?

The cause of condensation on the glass surfaces of storm door is due to warm moist air filling between the primary entry door & the storm door. Because the storm door is in direct contact with the outside air it is cooler than the air filling the airspace from inside the house.

During cold season leave the storm door screen slightly open that may help remove some of the warm air that is escaping into the small cavity between the doors.

    You have great product.

    Best Regards,

    Canadian Choice Windows & Doors.

In June of 2021, we had all new windows installed by Canadian Choice here in Winnipeg. We had ordered them in February of that year, so no worries there. There was a few problems with the install, but they did work through it. This January , 2022, one of the large bedroom windows had a large crack all the way through it, on the inside and I contacted Ivan who came and measured and told me it's ordered but would take a little time. He then contacted me to say mid April it would arrive. By May, he wouldn't even give me a definite answer which leaves me to believe it wasn't even ordered back in January. Every week or two weeks either my husband or I would contact him , but we are getting nothing but a runaround. It is now July 20, 7 months later we are still waiting for the replacement. We want to put our house up for sale and can't possibly show the house with a broken window in the front.
