  Simply and knowingly, the roofer put a metal roof on my back door walkout. I asked him to rebuild the roof following Hurricane Fiona and rebuild the deck that had been over the roof-onto which my back door lead. He said the metal roof was best and he could build a deck over it. When they were done, they disappeared for several months leaving equipment behind. When they came back to finally finish the roof, I was rudely informed they “did not do decks.”
  
  I contacted various decking outfits and roofers but none would take the job. Most didn’t respond at all. Ultimately, I contacted a framer who had done the reframing of the damaged space. He told me that you can’t build on a metal roof due to lack of strength.
  
  I have contacted the roofer and been met with couched threats emanating from a deep and abiding anti-English (Evangeline-believers) sentiment.
  
  A liar, a miscreant and a larcenous passive-aggressive racist company.

  However, I must also kindly emphasize that our services are limited to the scope of the original contract. Building a deck was not part of our agreement, and we are unable to assist with that project.

   I am rejecting this response because: I need them to agree to the original agreement where they were supposed to Vlad the roof with 3/4 inch good quality plywood.

   

  obviously, since my back door opens onto that roof, they knew metal was the wrong material. They also agreed to build the deck but I don’t want them to do that now. I want the plywood then to be covered, as I had told him initially, with material that will allow the construction of a replacement deck for the one list to Hurricane Fiona.

  I will overlook his easily-refuted lies if he agrees to come and remove the metal casing, strengthen the roof deck and use roofing materials that let me build a deck on it like it was before the hurricane tore it asunder.

   I am rejecting this response because: I have included the framer comment stating it can’t be built upon. Plus, my back door opens onto the roof. The door is not usable.

  He is a racist liar. His expertise is roofing. He KNOWS (and I sure didn’t) that a metal roof is not suitable for the purpose of constructing on it. He did this as some sick way to get back at ‘the English’.
