    ******* ********** has an account with Healthy Living Homes Ltd. In New Maryland, NB
    I am her brother, ******* **********, and have Power of Attorney.
    My sister is compromised and can no longer do her own banking, and does not have a computer. She is 81 years old. She purchased an air purifier from the above mentioned business. They replaced the filter on May 1st / 2000 . Since that date she has not been contacted by the company in any way. She was advised that they would replace the filter on a regular basis, I believe yearly, but I am not certain. This invoice I have, dated May 1st / 2000 is for $75.00 and is marked “paid”. Our issue is that since May 1st / 2000, this company has made a monthly withdrawal from her account of $29.99, and we haven’t been contacted by them in any way since May 1st / 2000.
    After noticing this charge on her monthly bank statement , we have cancelled any further payments to them. I have her bank statements since 2000.
    I spoke with the owner / manager on August 22nd of this year. He told me that he would rectify the situation. I’ve call them / him well over 30 times since then, and it always goes to voice mail. I’ve left many messages. No reply.
    Has my sister been scammed? Please advise.
