  In March, 2018 I had my fascia and roof shingles replaced by this roofing company at a cost of approximately $9700. $5000 of the cost of roofing work at my home was covered by a grant from NL Housing Corporation with the remainder covered by a NLHC loan. In May 2018 I was having Insulation and Vapor Barrier replaced in the area where I'd had water damage from my previously leaky roof when the installer noticed water coming in and prompted me to contact the roofer.
  While the people from the company, retuned to my address a couple of times to attempt to fix leaks, after a second visit the roofer was blaming the leaks on problems with the chimney, and refused to address any further problem until I had a Mason in to address any leaks. On account of financial constraints I did not manage to get a Mason to do work on my chimney until the summer of 2021. The Mason stated he could not say if my leak trouble was due to the chimney or not but guaranteed that once he was completed repairs if I still had leaks it would not be because of any chimney problem. I still had leaks after that work was completed.
  In January of 2022, I had a lawyer call the roofer because my last contact with him by phone had been so combative. the roofer agreed to send people in once again to look at my roof. The crew made approximately two further visits to my home and while I was away from home on a Saturday, they say they completed water testing with a hose and all of the problems were resolved. Through the winter of 2022 I noticed leaking was persisting including one fairly bad leak, I was feeling exasperated with my dealings with the roofer and his company and neglected to call him until a handyman I had working here during a heavy rain in September saw the water pouring in and he insisted I must contact the roofer. In email exchange and a phone call with the roof he refused to come back to do further repairs. I have several photographs taken at different periods, inside and out.

  Mr Kelsey I am very saddened to see that you came to the BBB to voice your concerns with our work. I can honestly say in 13 years in business this is the first time I was not able to resolve an issue with one of my customers. As per you own admission we made no less than 10 total trips to resolve the issues with your chimney, hardly the actions of someone not willing to help, however never once finding any indication that the issue was related the shingle work, however on 2 occasions we water tested your chimney and very quickly was able to make this area leak. The bricks were falling off and the flu completely deteriorated. In your review your weren't very forthright in your dealings with me sir, I have been nothing but calm, courteous and respectful, while you have not. Several threats of lawyers and legal actions and extremely vulgar language. The reality is sir your brick chimney must be removed, which was outlined to you at the time of the original install. I am not a skilled stone mason or I would help you at no cost (as i did with your smoke detectors) but similarly to the issues with your soffits (which you also tried very hard to blame on us) you will need to resolve the issue with the chimney on your own as it is completely unrelated to the shingle work that was carried out. I wish you all the best in this project and as I have stated and proven many times already, I am always available for a chat and if required another site visit to go over any concerns you may have with your shingle work.
