    On July 27/22 I called topsail road vet clinic and asked the cost of getting my cat euthanized. I was quoted $84, I later called back to make an appointment which she told me they could get me in at 3:00 which I took the appointment and then confirmed the price of $84. I got my mother in law to take my cat as myself and my kids were devastated and couldn’t bring ourselves to do it. Once the procedure was done my mother in law calls to tell me I was charged $182. I called the clinic and after some rude remarks from the receptionist about me going there to just get a cheap price i was told they charged me an emergency because I wasn’t a regular client . None of this was told to me prior to them doing the procedure on my cat and I told them I thought that was wrong . She told me a manager would get back to me which never happened. My husband then calls as I was already emotionally drained from the day. They were extremely rude to him as well , hung up on him and when he called back was told the same that a manager would get back to him which again never happened. I waited the next day to see if I would get a response before taking this act as I know people can be busy but it doesn’t seem like they want to resolve this so this is the next step as I feel they can’t do this to people and I wouldn’t want it to keep happening. They basically robbed me at a time when I was vulnerable and their customer service is the worst I’ve experienced. I have the receipt if needed and any more informative please feel free to reach out to me as I don’t think what they did was right. Thank you for your time.

    Our manager responded to this complaint as soon as time allowed given that this is a veterinary hospital. The mis-quoting was done because one receptionist thought that it was being done on an emergency basis while another did not quote for an emergency fee. The emergency fee was refunded as soon as the manager spoke with Ms. ******. The issue has been resolved.
