    Purchased Generator 11/17/2022 at 1299.99 it went on sale 11/24/2022 for 899.99 checked corporate website and they claim to have price protection if purchased within 14 days of sale. Went back to store they refused refund so I called corporate head office and they tell me they no longer have price protection stopped in June 2022 but it’s still listed on their website as of 11/23/2022

    Good afternoon,

    I looked into this complaint and discussed directly with the customer.  As far as the price match policy is concerned, Canadian Tire has never done price matching for their biggest sales of the year and used to put details about that in the flyer.  But as ****** noted when talking to Canadian Tire's customer service, Canadian Tire has stopped price matching all together as of last June and has removed the information from the stores and their website.  I looked at the website again as soon as I received this complaint and was unable to find anything regarding this policy online.  
    That being said, I do understand the customer's frustration.  If they had just returned the item, new in box, we could have sold them another one at the discounted price but they had already opened and used the product.  For this instance only, I offered a CT gift card which the customer happily accepted.
