    On February 21, 2021, Chester Builders began renovating our home at 9** ********* **** *n **** ***. It became apparent over the following months that Chester Builders is a company that is long on promises and short on delivery. Complicating matters further, was work would be incorrectly done and then redone. This drastically prolonged completion and added significantly to the costs. Throughout the process I made numerous requests for more transparency and accountability for worker’s hours. The answers came in dribbles and muddied the waters even more. My last request for a more complete accounting and a request to have sight of various invoices and timesheets was agreed to. Weeks went by without answering and on May 8, 2023 when I prodded the Project Manager he wrote: “We are working on the queries right now”. The next time I heard back, was not with answers, but a Notice of a Lien. This could have been avoided if Chester Builders answered all my questions addressing how our money was spent. Any client is owed a full and transparent picture of their project.

    Chester Builders has worked diligently with the client and attempted to respond to all of their inquiries within reasonable time frame.

    Despite repeated requests for payment for past work completed no payments were received. As a result, work on this project was halted and a formal Claim of Lien was filed through our legal counsel and a Supreme Court action was commenced.
