    We hired Countertops and More to install a laminate kitchen countertop. A few months after it was installed, one seam started to separate. When we called Countertops and More they said it was the sealant, they now must use, and in 5% of installs there have been problems. BUT it was not their responsibility if the sealant failed and they could put in a new counter top at our expense. Months later my husband went into the store to ask for some accountability. Because there were other customers waiting and listening the sales person said they would send someone out to have a look. A couple of weeks later two installers came to look at the damaged seam. They said the separation was caused by water damage. Very strange that the original laminate countertop, with the seam in the exact same place, never showed any separation from water in 13 years. There was no water flooding. It’s a kitchen counter. After originally telling us it was their sealer that caused the separation, they now say it’s because of water being splashed on it. Seems like using water as the excuse for a faulty installation is their fall-back position. So very disappointed in giving this company a chance.
