I had applied to finance a car with this company. I had informed my dealer that I did not have a job and was on income assistance. He said he would make something work. When they came to the part of the application of me getting insurance on the car we ran into a problem and the dealership offered to pay the first and last month of the insurance which came to 660dollars. I did not ask for this and his exact words were “all I ask for in return is for you to refer someone to us in the future” The car I signed for was from ns (I live in Moncton) they said they had their red seal mechanics look over the whole car and that it was in top shape and no issues. When they delivered the car to me it was the owner of the dealership that drove it and said it was perfect. The night I got it (still had not driven the car anywhere) I noticed the drivers side door sensor was not working and it was not registering the door as open. This was causing things to be running in the background. When I informed the dealership the next morning he said it wasn’t a big deal and nothing to worry about. The next time I took the car out a couple days later (the second time driving it) the battery light was flashing and I learned it was the alternator on the car. When I told the dealership I no longer wanted the car I was informed he made an appointment for me to get the car looked at through a friend of his and was sending the part. The mechanic informed me the part was in terrible condition. I took the car to *** and the mechanic said there was a list of things wrong with the car and there was no way it would have passed inspection when the dealership said he did it. I informed the dealership that it was not safe to drive as per the mechanics and that they need to come collect the car. They are now refusing to collect the car until I pay them the referral fee my father got and the money they paid for insurance. 860$ Now they aren’t answering and the bank won’t allow me to cancel the loan.

The vehicle provided was a 2019 *** with aprox 176,000 kms. The vehicle included an extended warranty, which passed the Nova Scotia safety inspection and is valid in New Brunswick. It was drivin from Halifax to Moncton with no issues and dropped off to the customer. Any major issues that come up after delivery should be covered under the extended warranty coverage. Unfortunately we have no control over what happens after delivery and once contracts are signed and the finance company has paid us we are unable to reverse the deal and take the vehicle back.
