This company misleads customers..took an entire year to complete the course due to several cancelations last min on the lessons. I took the teen smart on top of it even though I'm an older driver based on the fact ut advertised free lessons if you fail the test. This was not true at all ..on my last lesson I asked the instructor and he said no free lessons you didn't read the fine print! Total waste of money..lessons were two months in between making learning impossible with no practice ..lessons cancelled an hour before when I had to change my work schedule around ..so unprofessional..learned nothing ..stuck in a parking lot for 90 percent of lessons..used another school that took me on road right away ..want my money back!!Business Response

Hello,Her complaint is so one-sided that it is not an easy matter for meaningful discussion, but our response is as follows.1. We don’t mislead people. Period!2. She worked an overnight shift most of the time, slept in the day, so couldn’t be easily scheduled. And went on weekend trips with her friends when she was offered a lesson.3. Our road test guarantee for taking TeenSmart says that a student needs to use our car for the test, and only IF they are ready in the opinion of the instructor, and she wasn’t upon completing the ten hours of driving that she received. TeenSmart is an incredible resource for driving students to learn about the theory side of driving such as the mental skills and visual skills and she would have definitely benefited from that, albeit that in the end she was not ready to use our training car for the road test.4. Occasionally lessons are cancelled because of weather conditions, road conditions, instructor illness, car problems, etc but not for any frivolous reasons.5. Student drivers all start in a parking lot and then move to the streets when they are ready. It took her longer than anyone else to make it out of the parking lot. Eventually due to her readiness and confidence she did lessons on the streets. Any school that she went to were the beneficiaries of the instruction we gave her.As far as the request for a refund, I hope that you can see that the service we provided was better than she made it out to be, and so does not warrant one.Best,*** *** *****Initial Complaint

This so called school is horrible. My son signed up in Oct 2022. Dec 2023 and he still hasn't finished the course. He would go months without a lesson. Then his last lesson there was a time mix up and he showed up at wrong time missing the lesson, even though I confirmed 4hrs prior. Now they want me to pay an additional 49.50 for the missed lesson before he can continue. I informed them to just refund me for the unused classes and issue the classroom completion certificate. Have not heard from them since. Not surprising. They are quick enough to take your money though. The instructor once commented to my son that parents "pay them the big bucks". I asked to have the unused portion of the course refunded. Now I am seeking to have a full refund since the course was not completed in a timely or professional manner.Initial Complaint

Son has completed the classroom portion of the course. Booked the in car lessons and almost every single one has been cancelled by the driving school or the instructors have simply not shown up. Course was completed in May, it’s not almost November and the driving test is less than 4 weeks away. Business will not answer their phone or return callsBusiness Response

Instructor **** had mentioned to other students (boys) that he has a skinny pretty girl student of his( my daughter), stating her name, that he could hook them up with. After trying to contact him multiple times to chat about concern he would just cancel our driving sessions. He refunded the driving but is trying to charge us for completion of theory as an admission fee. This has impacts on my daughter and her attending school. At least he could do is provide the certificate that she completed theory( her mark was 100percent) the child should not suffer nor should we have to pay to switch companies because of his unprofessional behaviour! Who solicits their students? This is a total confidentiality breach.Customer Answer

I signed my boyfrend's daughter up for driving lessons from Maritime Roadwise Driving School and she completed the first part of the course which is online driving school lessons via computer. When she was ready to complete the in-car driving lessons, we had a lot of trouble with getting these started. In the meantime, my boyfriend's daughter was getting discouraged so I looked for another driving school. As per the Maritime Roadwise refund policy, I am entitled to a refund for the in-car driving lessons which should result in a refund of $191.14 if they were not started - which they were not. I reached out to ***** ******* (owner of Maritime Roadwise) multiple times regarding the refund with no response since May 6th 2023. ***** has responded once since then to say she is working on the refund. I am hoping that you can help me in this situation. If you require more detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.Initial Complaint

We bought and paid for Drivers training for my son in February 2022 for a start date to begin drivers training in April. My son completed the in class portion of the drivers training program and it is recommended to wait closer to the road test date to complete the in car road lessons. If you complete drivers training you are eligible for insurance deductions and you can do your road test in 9 months as opposed to 12 without. There is also the other added benefit of getting the “n” off your licence quicker. We started trying to book our road lessons in September. We have only had 3 and need another 5. I have been met with such a difficult time and been told that if my son gets boosted(he has his recommended 2 vaccines) then I can get pre booked lessons but if he is not then he has to wait for one of the other instructors to take him out. These instructors are booked up and it is leaving us now only 5 weeks away from his road test with no scheduled lessons. I have advised the owner that public health doesn’t require children to be boosted so this shouldn’t be an issue and we need pre arranged appointments as we need to get my son to these lessons as we both work. At this point this business is not following through with the service I paid for. And today I rc’d an email saying my son needs to complete his lessons by January 31 or he doesn’t get the course certificate and we lose our money. This would be the business’s fault as I have emailed many times asking for lessons to be booked. I need some assistance here as I feel this company may be over extending themselves to others like us. Could you please assist me in getting these lessons completed? I feel I am getting no where by myself.
