On August 26th, 2024 I went to the Chevrolet dealership to look at a 2016 ***** Civic Ex with 200k and included a set of winter tires. After test driving the car we came to an agreement. I was advised by the sales person that the car just had a mvi and was ROAD WORTHY and had NEW TIRES just put on it. I also expressed some concerns with my salesperson M*** that If any problems occurred, would the dealership handle it? I was told that if I have any issues to bring the car in and that I wasn’t purchasing it from John Doe on k****** it was a reputable dealership and they would take care of it. I came to retrieve my vehicle on the 27th and paid $17.5k to the dealer in cash. Within two days my car was unable to be driven due to a broken rear strut and had to be towed back to the dealership at my expense. The dealership replaced the strut and within the same day it was having issues. I dropped the vehicle off again where it sat all day and had no work done to it. I recontacted the dealership and they were ignorant towards me stating their sales manager was tired of dealing with me. I replied “How do you think I feel?, you scammed me out of 17.5k”. I proceeded to take my car to ******** ****** *****, where I had an inspection performed. During the inspection it was found that the vehicle needed a lot of work and should’ve failed. It needed a full set of tires, front rotors and brakes, rear rotors and breaks, an alignment and a RL wheel bearing and had hidden rust on the body. Both air filers were changed as well, and both key fobs for the vehicle were dead. I then advised steele of what Honda had found not even 2 weeks after the Mvi was completed, the sales manager argued with me over the phone that the vehicle barely passed MVi but it did according to the regulations and they have photos to prove otherwise. After some back and forth they agreed to give me 2 out of the four tires which I never received, and the winter tires that were included are garbage.

The vehicle was sold as an MVI Only. I have attached the acknowledged forms as well as the initialed Car Fax report.  fully disclosed the vehicle sold with the minimum required by the Nova Scotia MVI Inspection.  We also suggest to have the vehicle independently at a local licensed garage/facility of the customers choosing, which the customer declined.

We attempted to assist on a goodwill basis after the sale.  Unfortunately the customer became aggressive, swearing and kicking doors in the showroom to the extent the ******* ****** were brought on site to handle client. (also incredibly disrespectful with the peace officers as well)  We insist on providing a safe environment for staff and other clients and do not tolerate unsafe and disrespectful actions in the place of business.

The client is NOT welcome back to our facility.

We offer a wide range of vehicles from brand new with full warranties, certified pre owned with warranty and full inspections, and also value priced options as "as is" vehicles with no inspections and lastly "MVI only"... which are all fully disclosed to all potential clients before purchasing and taking possession.

    Please see attached acknowledgements..

I am rejecting this response because:

The dealership sold me the vehicle under the promise that it was roadworthy. Furthermore they sold a $1000 powertrain warranty so I’m a little confused if they’re willing to obligate it or refund since “I’m not allowed at the facility” yet they refused to trespass.

My 2023 Z71 ********* Tahoe was purchased in June of 2023. It is now October 2024 and it has 36000km on it. It was been back to the dealership twice due to flooding from the sunroof and rear hatch. It is now a health hazard and the dealership is blaming the problem on myself and parking my vehicle in my own driveway. This is a brand new vehicle and should not leak.
