I bought a truck from portcity experts near 1st of February, onky seen pice and they told me it was in really good condition, a beauty of a truck. So I paid all said and done $37,000. They delivered the truck. I tok for a drive and noticed a few things wrong, told them I'd take it into ***** dealership here to get gone over well the day after I 1st got it, the alternator went. They came good on putting new on right away for me. Finally got into ***** and they found lots wrong $8-19 thousand worth kf parts needed . Told ***** at portcity , said they'd take it to a 3rdl party shop near them as would be cheaper. I said ok. They even gave me a loaner car. 2 weeks later it came back. Tok for another drive still didn't feel right , mentioned it and he said I was crazy basically . I tried reaching him by txy, phone and emails, no reply. ***** said yesteeday whe i had it in that they replaced only a few things and some were with old used parts. It still needs tone of work done to it. Last night came out of store truck won't start, had to have it towed and it's still not runing now. ***** said the mechanics at summit ***** are out of their minds and no nothing. He said sa.w about snb worker that helped me switch the truck to Mt name, cost me [just over $200, she said the truck I
Had a duplicate vin#. Been trying to call and TX t him all day but no answer. I want to return this junk RETURN IT!!!

    Hi,

We took the truck back in good faith and addressed a significant number of the concerns you raised. In total, we completed over $6,000 worth of repairs, and we are happy to provide the invoices for all the work done.

It’s important to understand that when purchasing a used vehicle, there will naturally be used components. We are not required to replace every used part — only to ensure the vehicle meets the standards of a proper safety inspection, which we did.

It appears that the ***** dealership attempted to quote replacement of virtually every used part regardless of safety, which is not a standard or reasonable expectation for a used vehicle. Our responsibility is to ensure the truck is safe and roadworthy — not to make it brand new.

That said, we’ve done our part to support you throughout this process, including repairs, transportation, and even a loaner vehicle. We remain open to reasonable discussion, but we cannot accept a return of the truck simply because used components remain.

    Best regards,

I am rejecting this response because: yes you took the truck back and said you fixed it , but you didn't and it didn't meet road safety standards. You tell me where you get a safety inspection pass with a bad lower control arm, 2 front struts assembly bad,( yes even the junk yard used one you put in the truck and said was new was bad)  . You said the truck was delayed to come back to me because you were waiting on a new transfer case for it, well it's not a new one and the 4x4 still never worked. ***** phinny sent me the invoices for the work yas did on the truck and they don't add up to what your saying, besides he claimed all the work was done that was requested ogf you to do because honestly, who buys a 4x4 vehicle for 30k when it's 4x4 doesn't work, plus none of the A/C lines are hooked up and compressor doesn't work and even the trans cooler lines aren't hooked up to trans, which you guys stated was all take  care of. The invoices ***** gave me were from 2 separate time frames , one, when you guys 1st got the truck prior to me buying it , and the 2nd one after yas picked it up to take it and do work on it.and oh ya, there was not Transfer case on either invoice.and the invoices dates are different and milage is over 2000km diference on them. Forged documents id say my scamming buddy. There is still thousands of dollars work of work to be done to this beautiful,  excellent working 4x4 truck that you had for me. Was told it needed nothing, runs good, works good, drives good look beautiful.  You completely lied about it all just to make the sale and get rid of it. That's why you talked me out of the original white ecodiesel I was buying .

Also I don't appreciate you guys filing up summit ***** with piss poor ratings and reviews  when all they did was go though the things I asked them to as I thought they needed to be addressed. Specially where you sold and delivered a vehicle without a valid inspection on it as ***** failed it due to numerous areas that fail nb inspection.

You sold me a unsafe vehicle that was fully loaded 4x4  that either worked nor still work ( oh yeah, I did notice some bolts missing from underneath the truck once you brought it back seeing the wire for the starters solenoid broke off and your guys named it back into place and never mentioned it..

Fix the list of this that were addressed and needed to be done so it doesn't make you a lying scam, bring the truck to this " great running, excellent working beautiful fully loaded 4x4 that I was supposed to recieve .

    Thanks

    *****

    *****,

Please see the two attached invoices from the third-party mechanic who completed safety inspections on this vehicle — not once, but twice. These inspections confirmed the vehicle met road safety standards at the time.

As for the alternator issue, you initially brought it to your own mechanic who charged us for work that failed to resolve the problem. We then stepped in and replaced the alternator properly at our cost.

To date, we’ve spent over $7,000 addressing concerns you raised. We’ve acted in good faith throughout this process, including taking the truck back, completing extensive repairs, and even providing a loaner vehicle. However, we must again stress: this is a used truck — not a brand-new vehicle. It is unreasonable to expect every component to be replaced.

There are no forged documents — that’s a serious accusation, and there is absolutely no proof to support it.

At this point, we are no longer willing to do further repairs or address any additional complaints related to this truck.

So in the case that they are straight out lying, now what, cause I don't see a new transfer case on their parts list yet ***** told me that's what was taking them so long was waiting on its arrival and to be installed which he swore was done and it wasnt, my new to me fully loaded 4x4 truck still doesn't have 4wheel drive or air conditioning..

I bought a car online. Received vechile . Engine light was on. Took it to a garage and found out there was no oil in itt and it resulted in needing an engine and turbo. Most of the things weren't checked on inspection paper. Suspension was rejected. It should never have been sold . They misrepresented the vechile. I want them to take back the vechile and cancel contract.

No work being started on a financed car for 2-3 weeks after being sent in to the dealers mechanic. The mechanic could not find the issue with the car and sent the car to the ***** dealership after almost 1 week. The car had been sitting at the ***** dealership for another week after I was told that the cost of the repairs (***** found that it was the head gasket) was all covered under the warranty that was paid for when I financed the car. After calling my point of contact (****) a number of times, I could not reach them on their 8949 number, and whenever I called into the office they would not be available or return my call (ever). I always had to call back and leave messages. No one else apparently could help with my issue. Occasionally, I did speak with someone and they had told me that the car was towed to another mechanic (after I had to find out on my own). The other time they told me that my car repairs would be covered and the car would be ready for pick up on Wednesday August 30th. I once again was not reaching any one helpful at Port City, except for when the person that answered the phone told me that they were waiting to hear back from Portland *****. I then called the ***** dealer myself for a good time to pick up my car. The ***** dealer then said that the car repairs had not started when I called on Thursday and they were waiting for confirmation from Port City. I gave Portland ***** the number for Port City to give them a call on my behalf. When I went to the Port City office for the first time since all of this, they then said that they won't cover the expenses under the warranty anymore and said that ***** was already working on the car when they weren't. This has caused me issues with my job, mental health and relationships. Making car payments and insurance payments on a timeline with no foreseeable end, depending on whether someone wants to do their job, keep their word or not. The lying and manipulating is nothing like I have seen ever.

My partner purchased a vehicle, they wanted her to have a co applicant and I put my name forward and to my understanding this would be temporary. They put the car loan in her name and put me as co applicant and we got the vehicle delivered in a week or so. We were unable to choose the vehicle we wanted but they said we were approved for chrysler 200 limited. This immediately started having issues and they took it back and gave us a rental. They said they did a hard reset on my computer which is only to get the check engine light off. They brought it back to us and then the same problem kept happening and check engine light was still on. Only months later they told me I had bought a warranty so I put a claim in and it's being processed now. I notified the seller that this is what happened and their option was to sell me another car. How does a vehicle that needs a new transmission pass inspection? The brakes also went too , I don't know how it passed inspection. They sold us another van and it was suppose to be in my wifes name , but it's sold in my name which I did not want. They're dodging me every which way and only option to sell me another vehicle. Im in debt 6K negative equity on this chrysler 200 limited now. They said my wife could trade it in but they didn't want the vehicle back. "Kick the trade" method. They're wolves wearing sheep clothing, out on the prowl for new customers to do this to. I've been advised to speak with the attorney general to let them know this is happening, an action I have not yet taken. I am working to try to resolve this issues with the company. Customer service is absolutely appalling.

I apologize for your frustration and your confusion.

All of our vehicles come with a valid safety inspection from a licensed mechanic at the time of purchase.  The depth of the pads are recorded. We have a 90 day 2000 km warranty that we cover in store, and after that duration or mileage - a customers warranty is the balance of the factory  warranty. We also provide, if necessary, a 2 year or 40,000 KM warranty. - again through a third party. Please contact us for further information if you have any issues with your warranty claim.

We appreciate your business and continued business, apologize again for any misunderstanding, and look forward to a resolution with you.

I am rejecting this response because:

The salesman never told us about any warranty and he sold us a warranty that cost 3400.00. We told them about the braking issues and this is the owner that sold us the vehicle. I had the third party call me and sell me a warranty that would fover other items but I wasn't aware of the warranty sold to us or this warranty that the person who responded is talking about. They promised us a new braking system and they did not keep that promise. I hope they do not try to sell me another vehicle and do the kick the trade method on me again. Now my wife and I have car loans because of their mistakes made and not wanting to rectify the issues with current vehicle.

When we sold the vehicle it had a brand new mvi done through a third party mechanic at the point of sale the brakes were fine, Brakes are a wear and tear item we will not be replacing them. Also the client signed warranty documents and a bill of sale and banking contract showing warranty. The warranty was also sent in the mail and is still valid if he needs warranty work done he needs to contact peoples choice warranty.

Traded in my car for a newer car, I sent them the payout on my trade in as requested on November 21st. It's now December 5th and it still has not been paid, leaving me to pay 2 car payments.
Bill of sale has been signed, with it clearly showing that my trade in would be paid in full.
I was told I would be receiving 2 thousand cash back, I still have not received that.
