Absolutely unbelievable! We've always had good good service in past years at Eyes on Portland. Two summers ago my husband and I were due to get new glasses. That's when we started to realize things had deteriorated at Eyes on Portland. First it took months, instead of weeks to receive our glasses. Then when we got them, they were not what we had ordered. My husband's lenses were like coke bottles and had to be sent back. Also he had asked for transition lenses, but didn't get then. It took months for him to get it straightened out. My glasses also failed to have the transition lenses I had ordered. When they were returned to rectfy that, they came back with only one transition lens on one side. The lenses also didn't fit properly and they kept falling out. Lately those glasses have developed thin cracks on the right lens. I haven't been able to wear them, as they give me a headache. We've worn the wrong perscription for most of the past two years, because we were constantly waiting for them to be returned to us. It seems unbelievable! To make it worse, my husband recently ordered a new perscription . . . It again came back without transition lenses as he had ordered. If they had tried, they couldn't have given such bad service over the past two years!! I am sitting here at the moment with a headache, wearing a pair of glasses that are 5 years old. I'm now waiting for my new perscriotion and have been told it could take up to 12 weeks before they arrive. None of the service we received is acceptable!

Ordered 2 pair of lenses on the 7 June 2023. I had left my snooker frames and a pair of frames I had purchased before. Got my snooker glasses 8 weeks later. After 6 months I started calling monthly to find out where my second pair was. Staff said they would call me back but never did, not even once! When I called back to enquire they didn’t have an explanation. So 9 months later on 22 Feb 2024 they called me to say my glasses were ready. I went in and to my surprise the frames I had left were not there. They must have lost the frames a substituted a new frame which was a full frame. I am use to half frames so this was annoying. The staff didn’t know why the substitution was made. Really! Not again! Never again!

When I got my Rx I was told my glasses would take 6 weeks to get made when it took 2 weeks previously. I called at the five week mark to check-in and was told they would call me in a week or so when the specs came in. I called at 7 weeks and was then told it takes 6-8 weeks (which was new info). I called at 8 weeks after barely being able to see at my job and was talked to like a child and told that it would take more (an undisclosed amt) of time. It was then that I saw on the website where the lab was local so I called them and was told that because of the 3 pairs for 1 deal that there was a backlog in the local lab because one of the machines broke and that they were now outsourcing to the US. I called the mgr. back and this was confirmed and both the lab and the store said it would be 3 more weeks. I am likely not the only one affected by this and suspect that consumers are paying for the outsourcing in time and $$! There is no messaging on the website about the outsourcing or these massive delays dating back to June 2023 (it’s now November 2023). The best that could be done for me was a $75 discount. Surely I’m not the only one experiencing this. It needs to be investigated! Most of the staff have left, nobody is getting their glasses, and the website that prides itself on its local lab is now outsourcing!?! A little transparency would have went a long way.
