On August 6, I contacted the repair shop and asked if they would be able to repair an ***** Iphone that got wet at a concert. I said I didn't want to pay for something that couldn't be repaired as I had to buy a new phone anyway. The guy assured me it was just the screen. I was leaving for Toronto and asked my mother to drop it off. She did that day and the guy called her back 2hours later quoting a new screen at $335 plus tax. I agreed and said if that will fix the phone, I'm good to pay. On Friday the 9th she picked it up and the man said it worked. My mother brought it to my home and put on counter until I returned from Toronto late August 10th. When I finally got home and looked at the phone it was Sunday August 11th and the phone didn't have facial recognition working so after numerous attempts at the button code (it kept saying wrong code and would say you need to wait 5 minutes) meaning something was off with the pad...didn't forget the passcode so clearly there was something off. The phone after pushing slowing and making sure not to press the wrong button opened up, quickly turned a hot pink colour and restarted with the apple, back to code, then we tried it again, turned pink and the ***** came on and that was the last of the phone. I was leaving for Florida for 2 weeks and after calling the store and them saying they would look at it, my mom dropped it off. I called when I was back from Florida on Sept 3rd and he reassured me he was waiting for another screen to try and would call me back. Today, Sept 24, I called to request a refund and he was utterly rude, demeaning and said no refund, I'm done with this call. I just asked why I had not heard back, he didn't fix my phone and now he isn't guaranteeing the work. He then accused me of breaking the phone when I returned from Toronto and that is why it's not working. I am so upset as I tried to work with him from day one, explaining if it couldn't be fixed, I didn't want to pay out the $400.
