May 2022 ***** of MCS general contracting committed to installing my pool and building a pool pad. I saw his ad online and reviewed his website, with 18 years experience, we worked out a time and price. $1000 for the pad, and $2000 for the install plus materials. It took him and two of his workers 14 hours to complete the work. After a day or two with water in the pool, I noticed a few issues. One of the legs seemed further out on the bottom than the top, and dirt from the hill had fallen in where he dug out for the pool. June 2022 : I had another contractor out to give a quote for a deck install, they also install pools. They told me the pool had to come down, there were multiple issues and it would not last the winter. The legs/posts of the pool in multiple spots weren’t touching the concrete pads. the crusher dust settled causing holes under the pool, where I can fit my hand under. Some of the bricks are tilted inward. The track that the pool sits on has pressure on it, causing the track to be pushed up. The walls are bowing out on one side. There is space between the leg and pool wall. I called him and let him know the issues right away, requesting my money back, as I lost faith in his work. It should have been done properly the first time. I sent him pictures. He responded by saying it looks level, probably just splash water from people in the pool. I gave him a few days. And then called back 3-4 times ignored my phone calls, left 2 messages and sent text messages. On top of the $3000 I paid him to do the work, I paid $2483.02. $5483.02 total to have a pool installed I will have to pay $3500 for another contractor to redo the work, plus another $1060 for water and salt and possibly additional $600 if the liner cannot be reused. With 18 years experience I expected a pool that wouldn’t have to come down within weeks and be fixed.
