We hired Mill Direct Specialties in January 2018 to renovate our staircase (rebuild new one) we gave a $6000 deposit. After an inspection of the staircase, it came to our attention that we had structural issues that needed to be fixed before moving ahead with the installation of the stairs. MDS help us with installing 3 new structural beams and new main floor replaced at the same time. We also gave a deposit of $3450 for wood trim and $2000 for 4 new solid wood doors (which were not provided, so they gave us a credit towards the stair install, also a credit memo for other items that were not delivered $452.04). Remaining flooring. This took us to around end of 2019 to complete as MDS had other projects to work on in between us getting the beams put in. We started to contact ******* (owner) again in March of 2020 (this is when Covid hit) by phone, email & text messages. They keep giving us excuses either were busy with other jobs or injuries. In December 2021 my husband and myself went to their home to talk to them in person. In conversation with **** (the father) he told us they would start after Christmas. They finally came in February 2022 to take some measurements and to go over the next steps. We gave them $2500 deposit for the extra balusters & wood needed. ******* email us in April that the balusters were ready, but the stairs are work in progress. Tried to contact multiply times but no response until June when ******* told us slow progress and to be patient. ******* sent an email on October 8, 2022, stated that **** & ********* (brother) were out of town for a few days and would contact us when they get back. We continued to email & phone calls and ******* has not made contact since October. We sent an email November 1, 2022, giving them until November 13, 2022, to respond to our email or give us a call, nothing to date. We called them one last time on November 13, 2022, to please contact us.
