    On June 22, 2024, I used the services of Moving Together Inc. for a move from Bedford to Dartmouth, and the experience was disastrous. Initially, I was quoted a price of $90 per hour, but after the move was completed, the rate mysteriously jumped to $160 per hour. Despite my request for a written quote and agreement, nothing was provided. The movers arrived 50 minutes late, and their professionalism was lacking. They charged $100 for diesel, even though the distance for my mini-move was less than 10 kilometers. This additional charge was not justified, and when I questioned it, I was met with hostility. Some of my glass items were broken, and valuables were missing upon delivery. Despite the initial agreement, I was coerced into paying over $1055 for a mini move. When I expressed my shock at the final bill, the movers threatened me. To make matters worse, the owner, ****** Haider, later sent someone to my home to intimidate me into taking down my negative review. This company uses intimidation tactics and operates in an unprofessional and possibly illegal manner. Avoid Moving Together Inc. at all costs!

    Our visit was never intended to cause any harassment or bullying. We attempted to contact you through a courtesy call and message after being notified of two reviews from separate accounts. The purpose of our visit was to address concerns labeled as a "Rip Off," despite your acceptance of the quoted rate (evidence available in emails).

    Moving Together Inc. does not advertise on Kijiji; all of our clients come from organic leads, as well as our reviews. If your experience was unpleasant, please feel free to express it on ******** review platform. We value customer feedback as it helps us improve.

    Regarding the job, it was indeed smaller and charged hourly, totaling a bit over 5 hours, which is standard in the industry. Our movers reported no damages, ensuring everything was safely moved to the registered new destination. The diesel charge covers not only fuel but also cargo insurance and other equipment to ensure a safe move.

    You requested a 15% discount for cash payment to avoid taxes, which the manager refused as all services are subject to taxation. The two reviews posted about our company will be challenged and handled legally.

     I am rejecting this response because:

    The price was not agreed for $160 per hour.  Valuables were missing and glasses were broken. The delivery personnel behaved aggressively and threatened. ****** sent a goon to my condo and threatened to take down the reviews posted online. The business he operates is unsafe and illegal.

    On May 5, 2023 I engaged Moving together Incorporated to assist in moving my items into a storage locker. During the move, the company damaged two items The owner was made aware, at the time of the damage and advised of the cost to replace being $400. Not all of the items fit into the locker and the owner advised that he would take the items that didn’t fit back to his warehouse for me to pick up on Monday. This consisted of a wheelbarrow and disc golf basket. In addition, he would bring the excess items that were broken or garbage back to 6484 young street to be included in the garbage. After receiving payment, in full, of $868 (for 5 hours of man hours and a fuel surcharge) the owner sent me pictures of all items returned to a location I am not able to access. Items have not been made available as agreed and was only promised to coax payment in full. I would like my items to be returned to me. If this is unavailable as the owner may have already got rid of them, I ask for a billing reduction to compensate for the services not performed.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, there was not a formal agreement signed. I have attached email correspondence from/to the company outlining the agreed upon details.  Final confirmation occurred over the phone.
