    On September 23, 2023 my husband and I purchased a set of 4 brand new tires from Acceleration Tire for our new vehicle. We just received our new rims last week, had them mounted and realized they were the wrong size for the vehicle. We still have our receipt and went in to have them exchanged for the proper size. Understanding and expecting to pay a difference in cost to be told they cannot exchange them because they aren't new. These tires are brand new, they touched the rims with the sealant which can be washed off. We just want our proper size so that we can safely drive in the upcoming winter conditions. 640 is a huge but understandable price, but to not be able to exchange them? They haven't seen so much as an INCH of pavement!

    There is no notice on the sales receipt of them being final sale

    As the most tire shops within HRM, we could offer exchange within 7 days of the purchasing as long as the tires not been mounted on the rim and stay as brand new condition, since we understand that the people could make mistake on the tire size. In this case, the customer bought the tires over a month ago and they mounted the tire on the rims already. when he brought the tires back, there was tire lube all over the tires. we can't resell the tires as brand new tires any more.  In this case, we can't take the return. For the reasons : 1. the tires have been left our shop more than 7 days. 2. they installed the tires already, all the 4 tires have been mounted on the rims.

     I am rejecting this response because:


    We can wash the sealant off completely. The tires are brand new. We were not informed of a 7 day policy and it is not on our receipt  either. We had issues obtaining our rims which just came in before we mounted them or we wouldn't have brought the tires home in September. The tires can be cleaned and sold as new.
