I had Clevelands install carpet for me back around May, After they installed the carpet I was in the room for several hours and started to become ill (Dizzy, Light headed, severely burning nose) It got so bad my wife had to sit me down. The next day I went back into the room and after an hour the symptoms came back, especially the horrible burning and tingling. We haven't been able to go into the room at all since. I contacted the company who refereed me to a woman who said she would have carpet from the same roll tested, after a few months she said the carpet came back fine but I know it isnt. Recently its started to do something new, When you rub your hand on it and smell your hand it makes you gag from the intense vinegar smell, when I looked that up it says Vinegar smell from new carpet/underpad is a sign of Formaldehyde and can be quite toxic. After much research it looks like the problem could be a combination of the underpad and carpet. Underpad can apparently give off just as much if not more chemicals than the carpet. Theres no animals or people down there, I go down once every 2 weeks to vacuum it and now thats its giving off horrible vinegar smells that I can confirm theres something wrong with it. The owner of the store just keeps giving me a snarky response of "well I've never heard of that before" but I can assure you this is quite a common issue and he must be living under a rock. If you came and smelled this you'd wanna throw up. If I had children crawling on that they would probably be horrible sick or smell really bad. I refuse to let my animals walk on it because of the intense smell. Carpet is not suppose to smell like this and I didnt give them $3300 to make my room uninhabitable.

I want to request a full refund so that I can either pull it up and throw it away and hire a different company to do something else or pay a professional company to come in a steam clean it several times which will cost big money that I shouldn't have to pay for.

Im accepting the response however the fix has not been applied yet. They are sending professional cleaners to steam clean the carpet to try and remove the smell, What do i do if they dont show up?
