Hired treetop early summer for offgrid solar and battery install.

Promised late summer install and power

By late February, only racks and half the panels installed. Roof somehow now leaking under many of their bracket installs.

No clear date or path forward on anything

Chronic changes and conduction along the way which have proven costly and frustrating. I’ve trenched between buildings for this install at a huge expense and buddies electrical lines for this project at a huge expense.

Later told garage need to be insulated, I didn’t actually have to move my chimney as directed, now need labels both sides of roof, etc etc.

The owner, ******, ultimately quit, removed his material, stated he doesn’t do new construction, committed to replacing my roof as build a few months earlier.

    I have no power, am
Burrows in expenses and changes to install NS Power Utility, have a damaged roof, and have received nothing from TreeTop.

Hopefully this BBB action is helpful in keeping the matter from escalating and requiring more action than the funds to replace my roof, ALL parts, as committed by ***** (owner) when he claimed he could not complete the job, and quit leaving me powerless, broke and scrambling to get my family into a home.

Seeking immediate funds for new roof. To be clear, a $6,000.00 quote from a random company to patch and replace parts of my roof is unacceptable on this new build that Treetop committed to bringing power to in late summer, but instead had filled my roof with holes and left me powerless by late February.

I don’t believe it is obvious to *****, **** or whomever they randomly brought to my house to brainstorm on how they could salvage the job, the gravity of the damages they’ve created.

Need the funds to replace roof immediately.

    Thank you.

Hello, we are in the process of responding to this client and working with him in trying to find a solution.

I am rejecting this response because:

These are actually lies. The company is not in any anyway in communications with me. The company has not given me any money to replace my roof.

***** and **** of TreeTop solar have my email address to E transfer fund to replace my they asked them for a void check to transfer me funds to replace my roof.

Although both of these methods have been provided to TreeTop solar and they have acknowledged receipt of both of these methods, they have not yet transferred funds to my account.

It is unfortunate that this will result in legal action. Filing a statement of claim in the S****** C**** ** **** ****** for damages which exceed $25,000 is one heck of a process..

I do not accept their response. They are not being forthcoming or acting accordingly.

This organization has caused me an extraordinary amount of cost in grief. This outfit has impacted my build and overall project immensely. They have acted unilaterally and with extraordinary arrogance.

Without the funds to replace my roof and carry-on with the project, the damage is continue to grow and escalate, and will all be sought in an upcoming civil action.

in the event that the Better Business Bureau is able to mediate this and have TreeTop solar provide me with the funds to replace my roof that would be fantastic. Should TreeTop solar decide to wake up tomorrow and realize that they should send me the money for the roof they destroyed that would be fantastic.

As it stands right now, I’m scheduling the time to put forth a statement of claim and move ahead with legal action against TreeTop, solar S**** and M*** V*****, and and possibly others to be named in this suit.

If the Better Business Bureau could encourage you folks to wake up and provide the funds to replace the roof that they destroyed, that would be fantastic. It’d be great if that could happen before we go down this frustrating expensive tiring road civil litigation.

TreeTop solar has not remotely appreciated my stoicism and extraordinary patience and grace with this outfit. It is highly unfortunate that I had to be stung so severely by their incompetent immaturity.

Perhaps in the future, they’ll develop their skills and grow professionally to a point where they can “bid and complete jobs who knows. In the meantime, I will most certainly be recovering by losses from P*** S****, and those at TreeTop solar.

Our company chose to terminate the project for this former client.
Upon termination, we offered to either pay a reputable company, or compensate the homeowner, for restoration of the roof to the state it was in before our company began this project. We sourced a quote for the roof project and are offering the funds quoted.
Up to this point, the former client has refused to sign an agreement in order to receive this compensation. No funds can be released until the agreement is signed. We have expressed that we are willing to amend the agreement if there are concerns. When the agreement is signed, funds will be transferred.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have communicated clearly to M*** and S**** at TreeTop Solar that I will not sign the form they provided. I would suspect they wouldn’t be concerned with any further action on my part as they insist this covers all damages and returns my new roof to pre-TreeTop destruction.

I am however willing to sign with the following language only:

    To whom it may concern,

This confirms funds being transferred to M****** M****** of *** ******* *** ************ ** in the amount of $6080,00+hst toward repairing the damage caused we to his roof.
