      I was sold a car in May 2022 from Cars R Us. I definently should have done my due diligence and requested the Carfax rather than trusting Cars R Us in saying it was a clean title. After the deal I joined a ******** group that consists of similar car model owners and was in for quite the suprise when I saw a picture of my car in a major accident. Upon further inspection I found shotty welds and body work in the trunk and gascap (rust starting) on a car with 30,000km!
      I reached out to the previous owner who stated he knew multiple workers at Cars R Us and they were fully aware that it was in an accident. When I confronted them about this they played dumb and offered to let me take a base model civic rather than the fully loaded, sport tech Elantra I wanted in the first place. Everything else was out of my price range. **** wrote me a $250 cheque for my troubles. How generous. Make sure you do your homework and don't trust anything that comes out of their mouths. Shady practices is an understatement. I have had nothing but issues since I bought this car. They failed to mention that it had a full exhaust, blow off valve had been munipulated, boost gauge and other mods which will blood my warranty. I've had Evap check engine lights, one misfire engine light and my A/C compressor has stopped working in the last week. I am beyond dissatisfied with their services and will never shop there again. I will also be telling everyone I run into about my experience at Cars R Us

      On May 18, 2022, A 2018 Hyundai Elantra was sold to **** ****** *******. After purchase, a Carfax Claim was brought to his attention after communicating with the previous owner. At that time, pictures of the incident were supplied to him. Cars R Us was willing to take the vehicle back, and replace it with another that would fit **** *******'s approval. After looking at, and driving several vehicles, **** ******* came to the conclusion that he would be more satisfied keeping his current vehicle regardless of the Carfax Report. A compensation amount was agreed on, and at the time **** ****** was pleased. As per the modifications, our online ad for the 2018 Hyundai Elantra declared " Extra's include aftermarket exhaust, boost gauge, and LED lighting".

      Nearly 1 year has passed, and roughly 25,000 Kilometers have been put on the vehicle. Cars R Us is not responsible for any issue that may arise in that time span, and that amount of mileage. The opportunity was given to **** ******* to return the vehicle if he was not satisfied. That same offer does not stand 1 year later. Cars R Us denies any form of exchange. We feel that this issue was dealt with shortly after purchase and the customer was satisfied at that time.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      Cars R Us were aware that the car was in a major accident (see proof in messages) and they did not disclose it. I was sold a smashed up car at un unsmashed price. Their only resolution at the time was to throw me in a base model civic which I did not want. I did not test drive multiple vehicles. The civic was the only car I test drove. Everything else was out of my price range. I kept the car because it was my only option. Since I have dealt with problem after problem with multiple engine codes and my a/c has suddenly stopped working. I did not see the ad about the modifications done to the car as I went to the dealer in person. This and the major accident they were aware of should of been disclosed to the customer! Very unprofessional!
