paid 62.50 for 8 light bulbs
they were not reasonable in resolving my complaint
1 of the light bulbs was defective in the box but they would not give me a cash refund (I paid cash)they made me get new bulb under warranty , I should not be made to use warranty for something that is sold in an unusable condition I had bought the bulbs less than 3 hours earlier. they told me the new bulb could not be returned for cash either . there was no way to get my money back other than store credit and that was not what I wanted as I don't shop there regularly
and normally according to their sign you can return an item if you have your receipt and I did have it , the main point is the item was sold defective so I should not have to deal with warranty , they cant just sell defective items and say too bad it has to be a warranty claim now because its defective .

    Business Response

    Date: 11/12/2024

Hello, my apologies for the experience at our store. I reviewed the receipt and it appears everything is in order from that perspective. Our policy states “un-used and in-opened” and I believe this was the approach we applied that day since electrical parts for example can be particularly difficult when installed and then returned.

However, in this case I do not believe the customer should be worse off after buying the bulbs that day and having some bulbs turn out to be defective, something that coincidentally can only be discovered after trying them.

I am happy to make arrangements for the customer to receive a cash refund and I will ensure we discuss cases like this so that we can be better at the time of return vs the customer being upset and having to go through this.

thank you for the opportunity to resolve this, if I could have the customers contact info I will reach out to get this sorted for them.
