I had a desastrous experience with this business.
Before leaving East river shipyard near Chester,NS, where DiseselRite has jts workshop, I agreed with the ***** ( Mr ******* ******) to have a repair done on my sailboat during the next winter.
The work beeing estimated at CDN 2000, I paid him CND1000 as a deposit( immediatly debited on my Visa card in Sept 23).
Then ,for the following 7 months ,(until I returned to Canada in April 24), I tried with no success to have some positive informations about this contract:
I constantly asked the people I knew to ask him to react( Yard manager and secretary, Broker, Sail loft).
I only received from Diesel rite:
_ a message in Feb 24, explaining that some spares were ordered
_ a unexpected Email, early April 24 ,the only one in 7 months, very agressive, informed me that he refused to honor the contract .
The reasons given for his break of contract were beyond any rationality.
He declared that he will not charge anything for the quick presssure test done, and that the refund will be given to the Shipyard office.
He kept none of his commitments.
Having to cross the atlantic in May 24? I had to change my plans, and fly back 2 weeks before my normal schedule.
Then,it became extremly difficult to get my CDN 1000 back.
Allthough Mr POWELL knew exactly where to find me, I never saw him( I was 50 meters away almost 24/24 on my boat).
I hdd to find a lawyer, and immediatly the refund cheque was delivered to my boat.
With a fraudulent deduction of CDN 450.
Given 2 days before my departure , and not having an account in Canada( not resident), the cheque was totally useless.
I had no time to go to smallcourt.
    This experience was very stressful.
I found this business very irespectful and completly dishonest.
