    In may I reached out to all-ways moving for a move across Canada from Ontario to Nova Scotia. They gave me a date range of July 6-9th for my things to be picked up. I paid a $450 deposit and thought that was securing my dates. I had checked in many times to try to get a more accurate date they narrowed it down one day less to the 7-9th. They knew I was leaving on the 8th in the morning and needed to be able to arrange someone to meet them if they were picking our things up on the 8th or 9th. I kept bugging for an exact date. Once it hit a week before I leaving I was bugging more than I wasn’t, to have an exact date and time as to when they were picking up. I get told July 5th in the early morning the dispatch guy John sending me a text saying “we will know more by noon today” just before noon today I get a text from john again that said “Hi ****** We were unable to rent a tractor unfortunately ***** will have to give back the deposit sorry for any inconvenience on short notice.” So now I am completely lost as to what I’m supposed to do as I am moving on the 8th. And I now have to move across the country with a newborn baby a 18 month old and a 4 year old with none of their things as no moving company can help us on such short notice. They didn’t even offer a new date, to pick up from a storage unit or try to help solve this issue. I got a “sorry for the inconvenience” an apology from *****, get told to try “moveit.ca” and someone would help me and $100 extra on top of my $450 deposit as an apology. I used some not so appropriate words in my responses to them both in text, but 2 days notice from the earliest possible pick up time is ridiculous and unprofessional, short notice is a week before a cross country move. 2 days notice is leaving someone unable to find other options.

    It was unfortunate that the truck broke down and was unable to rent a tractor in time for ****** loading date. I did reach out to other company for help knowing everything was time sensitive with no success. In normal time you could 9 out of ten times rent a truck , now days there a 1% chance you can get a rental. We are still hoping to find a solution but not sure she wants us to after all the * ******
