We had hired Tanner Jennex to install an oval above ground pool. We responded to a marketplace ad he had on ******** advertising oval above ground pool installations. He came on June 4th and worked for approximately 14 hours with a team of 3 guys. He had asked us to let the water hose fill some of our pool overnight and he would be back the following morning. We did until our pump kicked out overnight. My husband turned it back on in the morning and let it run until we had to go to work. Tanner arrived and turned the hose back on. I got home at 1:30pm. I asked how the pool was coming and if it was ready for a truck of water. He said yup when can the truck be here. I said 20 minutes, he said sounds good. When the truck arrived, I expressed concerns about the liner being crooked and alot of slack on one side and not alot on the other. His guy said it would be fine as long as we put water in slow. It wasn't fine. The liner split in 2 spots and the pool wall bent in 2 spots. I noticed both of these and asked the water person to stop the water. They said they would have to drain the pool but didn't have a sub pump. At this time they let the liner go on one side so water started draining out and around my pool. He argued with me and water delivery person that it wasn't due to the liner being installed improperly but due to not putting water in with a hose and allowing it to stretch (it had been stretching for over 12 hours). He agreed to pay for a liner replacement and fix the pad but refused to cover the cost of damages for pool wall, coving, or foam underlay. He wanted to continue with pool install even though pool wall was structurally damaged. He also stated that we hadn't entered into an agreement for anything in regards to pool installation since he hadn't signed anything although the arrangement was made in writing through marketplace.
