We had our alternator repaired by Blair Automotive in March 2024. After we received our car back, there were still issues occurring. We brought our car back, and they fixed the ?faulty wiring? that occurred during the first job. Fast forward to end of January 2025 and the same issue is occurring. We bring the car back to Blair Automotive, and they keep it for 7 days, then confirm they cannot find any issues. They charge us $50 + tax. 3 days later, our car dies and we need to get it towed. We pay for a tow truck to have it towed to a different mechanic, as Blair Automotive has now lost our trust. The new mechanic (Morrisons Automotive) diagnoses that the alternator is broken, and is not charging our battery. They agree to fix it, and if we get the part number from Blair Automotive, the part is covered under warranty.I call Blair Automotive and inform them of this. I ask if we get refunded for what we paid, and they said the part is covered under warranty, and they will refund us for the labour. I call ******** Automotive and give them the part number, and they begin the repairs.I call back Blair Automotive and ask if they are just going to refund my credit card for the labour, or if I have to psychically bring my card to the shop. They informed me I would need to go to the shop in person with my credit card. I confirmed what time they were open until. They confirmed they were open until 5pm and that I could come in any time before that for my refund. When I arrived at the, they informed me that no, I wouldnt be getting refunded, since they made a mistake. I told them that they had confirmed TWICE over the phone, and even confirmed their business hours so I can be there in person before closing. They told me they were not going to refund me, and that I can take it up with my lawyer. I told them they mislead me, and they replied with this isnt against the law. All I ask, is that I receive the refund they ASSURED me I would get on 2 separate phone calls.
