Went to Canadian tire for a safety inspection on December 22nd It failed inspection due to an abs sensor and a hole the mechanic punched in my ****** was said and noted on file that if the hole was patched and sensor replaced it would pass.Called to rebook and was informed that the mechanic was on holidays there for putting my reinspection 14 days later instead of the 10 service Ontario allows you Brought it back in they failed it again over a different side of the vehicle but because it is a rocker panel and was noted before hand where the mechanic had punched a hole they are stating they told me, but on file it even says rocker panel, hole quantity 1 So Im trying to explain you failed to tell me this or even write it down so you did not provide me a proper safety inspection.Or I would have had it fixed when I had the hole they put there fixed. So they said will call an mto guy in. But regardless you already failed it and failed to tell me that it needed fixed so why would the mto now pass it. Well mto shows up and takes his flashlight and punches holes in the floor of the vehicle which before wasnt a concern at all and had nothing to do with what they even wanted ********** Im out the money of the safety that they failed to do properly, it cost me $1000 to fix the hole they had previously put there and now its gonna cost me more to fix the floor which wasnt even an issue.I have all pictures and documents proving Ive done what theyve asked each time, they have the recordings of all conversations where they specify what needs to be done never mentioning the spot they failed me on. Ive called the general manager and he refuses to do anything to rectify the situation, to be honest he doesnt really say anything Id like to see them cover the cost of the new holes in my ************** show the receipt saying 1 quantity and state the hole as well as abs sensor Work was done Following pics of the person that fixed Last pic what they failed

I received a call from Canadian tire customer care center, after some arguing the gentlemen finally started to understand what I was saying so he said he was going to look into the matter further and he would get back to me about a refund if I was eligible they are just doing whatever they can to cover there themselves when they know theyve made a mistake.

just waiting to hear back from them

We are an inspection shop, not a body shop.  This consumer had two safety inspections done, one at our shop, one at another.  The repairs were on the rocker panel which was not repaired properly either time, verified by the *** inspector.  Had the consumer taken the car to a licensed body shop, the repair would have been done correctly the first time.

Well seeing as of how the Canadian tire customer service Center was willing to reimburse me for half the cost they clearly didnt do there job, yes you are an inspection center and failed to provide a proper safety inspection. They failed the vehicle due to things they never mentioned. The part they not failed it on isnt even part of the rocker panel but part of the quarter panel. They are taking advantage of people that lain and simple. And the main guy at the desk is the best talker in the business just to get you to spend more money. We were in there to resolve the issue and the lady beside us was there for an oil change and now there telling her she needs almost $2000 so it became a joke because we were there stating there taking advantage of people and then that happened even the lady thought it was pretty crazy.
