    I recently moved into my new condo and encountered an issue with the ** unit. Initially, the previous owner had planned to fix it, but due to weather constraints, the repair was delayed. May 31, a technician visited to address the issue and recommended replacing the ** unit, which was not part of the initial agreement.Given my tight budget resulting from the recent condo purchase, I was advised to take additional time to consider the replacement. However, to my surprise, I received an invoice demanding payment for the technicians visit unless I promptly agreed to replace the ** unit on June 6.I feel frustrated, insulted and pressured by this approach. As a customer, I expected better communication and understanding of my financial constraints, rather than receiving what feels like a coercive demand. Now, they informed me that the next available date to fix would be more than a month later which is almost the end of Summer peak.

    Unfortunately this is not the case.  The original owner had made arrangements to have the a/c repaired as per their house sale agreement.  The new owner had been informed of the repair to take place in the spring, but due to his unavailability to schedule the work it has taken till June to actually be able to pin point a date to complete the work.  The date agreed upon was June 5 /2024.  When our technician arrived **** was very indecisive and decided to not have the work completed.  Since we had travelled to his residence (57.9km one way) and were prepared to do the agreed upon repair and then **** backed out so we issued an invoice.  We did discuss with **** that we would provide a quote for a new unit and if he decided to purchase a new unit or complete the original repair quote that we would void the invoice.  NO pressure was given or dates given for new install of an a/c unit.  Now that the weather has turned very warm, any HVAC company will be booking a few weeks out for an install or repair.  We had given **** a few dates in July to consider but because of his unavailability it has had to be pushed to mid July to fit his schedule.  The invoice given was just to help cover our costs related to **** cancelling the repair that had been scheduled for weeks.
