    In early March/24 I was pleased to find a Shop to do some work on my `72 **. I dropped the vehicle off at Gordies Garage who specializes in classic cars. I dropped the car off on March 18th to be " the first in line" to get what I wanted done for the summer. **** ************* *** ****** *********** ** ****** . My list consisted as follows : Adjust Valve Lash ( done) , Install and and fabricate new exhaust ( supplied - had a look and gave up) . The Muffler was taken off and then decided not to go any further and put it back on and now has a very loud exhaust leak and backfires . Dress up kit for engine half done. My car was stored out side in his pound until I got it back on MAY 15th/24, 2 and half months later, it has always been stored inside during inclement weather , I heard excuse after excuse after excuse, only to be told it will get done as he`s very busy . ( Since March 18th ?) , His final invoice was Dated Vehicle received May 15/24, wrong year of car, No Vin #, Org. Estimate 978.87 ( Never given one), no odometer in . It needed a head light switch ( supplied) , not done, as it requires the dash to be removed ( 4 screws and that was the excuse) , steering adjustment was on my list , not even looked at and my steering wheel is now not straight and it`s harder to shift . No clue why. The final thing on the list was to certify it for sale . Not even mentioned when I picked it up. When the exhaust " can`t be done" , I was not called to go look or consulted as to what to do moving forward. ( Fabrication would be needed and I knew that) He treated me Like I was clueless * ** * *** * ***** * ***** ** **** ** ******* , pushed my vehicle aside, left out in snow and rain, so he could get " other cars finished" I`m quite surprised really, as I`ve seen his work and fully trusted him . When I challenged him upon pick up, he had no answers as his crew suddenly showed up just in case. A later phone call ended with **** *** * your car is a piece of **** anyway.
