      3 July 2024, we brought our 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer to Belleville MItsubishi, the closest dealer to our home outside ********; it was making strange noises and accelerating unevenly. The technicians changed the *** fluid for $293.97, inspected it for evidence of transmission failure, and diagnosed a fault with rear differential bushings that needed to be replaced. The dealer gave the transmission and rest of the car a clean bill of health.9 July 2024 received the Lancer after new differential bushings were installed.19 August 2024, Lancer was whining, jerking and then stopped. It had no transmission fluid and had to be towed in; transmission and transfer case had failed and replaced under warranty. There was no evidence of any fluid leakage at my residence.26 August 2024, we called Belleville Mitsubishi for an update; when asked how, shortly after being given a clean bill of health, the transmission would fail so completely, and how, shortly after a *** fluid change that we paid for out of pocket, the transmission would be completely empty of fluid as assessed by a mechanic on 19 August, we were told something along the lines of sometimes these things just happen and advised that while transmission and transfer case would be replaced under warranty, we would have to pay for transmission fluid, a cost of $266.92. 29 August 2024 attended Belleville Mitsubishi to pick up the Lancer, a round trip of more than 200km. While pulling out of the parking lot, it made a grinding noise from underneath, so immediately returned to the dealership. Even though it had just had a powertrain repair and was allegedly test driven by the mechanic, the rear coupler had failed and needed to be replaced.3 September 2024, Belleville Mitsubishi staff delivered the car to my home I would ask that Mitsubishi Canada reimburse us $590.78 for the costs incurred for having to rent a vehicle at the last minute, and $266.92 for a second *** fluid refill on 29 August.
